Tonight is my first night watching this show. (Thank Charlie Brown). Anyway, I'm liking it so far. It does remind me of Malcolm in the Middle but I think the actors are good and that youngest son is a gem.

Much to my surprise (I really can not stand Patricia Heaton), I actually enjoy this show. It has a bit of a satirical edge to it and, PH aside, I love all the cast members.

I really like this show! I am like most of you and hated Hank, but I decided to still give this show a chance and I'm so glad I did. This show cracks me up, I love the dad(he's one of my favorites on Scrubs) and I think all of the kids are hilarious. I heard that it was picked up for the whole season, but it probably won't make it past that.

It was really, really funny. The daughter is a riot - reminds me a little of a female Napolean Dynamite, just more insecure. The whole storyline with the trash, the beer bottle, Brick talking at school, the social worker, the husband having dated the social worker... it tied together so well. Lots of laughs.

That's a good description! All the actors, including the kids, are good on this show. I recently saw the teenage son in the Oscar-nominated movie Frozen River.

I'm a little surprised I had to dig so deep to find this thread. I am a lot surprised to see it has been on for four years. I had noticed Brick was getting bigger.
I just love this show. I remember when Rosanne was in its prime and everyone was saying how relatable the show was. This is my Rosanne. I swear Frankie and I went to the same school of slacker parenting. It just seems every week they could be taking stories from my life.

On facebook the Middle asked if you are Team Darrin or Team Derrick for Sue. I don't care. I just want Sue to be loved. LOL She is so cute and funny. I have tried to mock her and it is really hard to play that level of enthusiasm. I really think all of these actors are overlooked in their field. This is a very underated show. I think its because its not as "pretty" as Modern Family it gets ignored.

I was sad for Darrin when he saw the Glossner kid kissing Sue. Glad that Sue's got 2 guys interested in her.

Yay, Sue, speaking as former braces wearer--when do they come off? Practically Ugly Betty territory here, orthodontically speaking! And yes, I know, those are the least of her problems...but right now without them more guys would notice that despite her awkward style, she's pretty attractive.
