Just imagine, Burn Notice, Psych, Royal Pains, Covert Affairs, and White Collar all on a cable network. That's what happens when you put creative people in charge of a creative medium.
I also like that they are on during the summer and combination of drama/comedy and light lightheartedness with quirky humor and the best part of the shows are the relationships that the characters have with each other. I think the only show that captures that on the networks is NCIS.

I just read this morning, that there was some accounting firm, somewhere, that has decided that USA Network is the MOST valuable part of the NBC universe.

I like all the shows you mentioned. It's good that non big network channels can do such great stuff while the networks themselves flail around.

I think USA has been very smart in figuring out what they're good at doing--the quirky comedy/drama you've mentioned--and sticking to it without getting repetitive. I mean, it's not like anyone's going to confuse Burn Notice with White Collar or White Collar with Psych. They're different enough to be distinctive while still allowing USA to continue to build an audience who expect/enjoy a particular style of show. I'd actually like to see what USA could do with a half-hour comedy too, just out of curiosity.

I, too, like that they are summer shows and that they are repeated several times during the week. If I miss an episode, I know I can find another time to see it.

I'm remembering that USA also gave us Monk and The Dead Zone.

The boys are back tonight! Can't wait to see poor Mozzie's fate. I doubt seriously that they'd let him die. I expect Peter and Neal to get some payback for his shooting, though.

Did anyone else catch how many Golden Globes fashion reviews chose Matt Bomer as among the best dressed men?

One of the Chelsea Lately crew (I forget which one) said that she didn't think he'd won anything, but hey, congratulations on that face! When the one straight male on the panel tried to pass him off as just another nice looking guy, the rest of the panel (including Ross Matthews) basically told him to shut up.

On Fashion Police, Joan Rivers said she wasn't really sure who he was, but that didn't matter, because he looked gorgeous. When Julianna Ranzic told her he was on White Collar on USA if she wanted to see more of him, Joan said she'd certainly start watching that now. Julianna also said she interviewed him on the red carpet and he was the nicest, politest person you'd ever want to meet--a real sweetheart.

All in all, he got a lot of attention for someone who was there just to hand out an award and who doesn't have the kind of recognizability factor of a major star.

Watching Peter get the chance to literally go cowboy last night was a lot of fun.

Last night's season opener did not disappoint. I loved Burke's Seven.
