| Re: GLEE on Fox The Idol lead-in for the preview will be huge, but it will mean nothing if the show doesn't deliver as something worthwhile. Remember On The Lot? It got the honor of the Idol finale lead-in too. Lots of people tuned in, weren't impressed, and the audience shrank so quickly that Fox struggled to get all the episodes run off. |

| Re: GLEE on Fox You've seen the extended promo, presumably by now, Veruka. Does this look like another "On The Lot", which face it... was a really weak idea? The biggest reason this might tank is for the exact same reason pretty much every "musical" TV project since the original "Fame" have--people are embarrassed to be watch musicals. Why they aren't MORE ashamed to watch "The Bachelor" is beyond me, but hey, it takes all types.

| Re: GLEE on Fox Well, presumably Idol watchers have nothing against singing... Would it be acting they don't like? The mixture? I would think Glee would make it easy to work singing in "organically" as they say...not stopping the show for a song. |

| Re: GLEE on Fox There's nothing that would induce me to watch American Idol, but I love musical theater and I love Jane Lynch. I'll certainly give this one a try.

| Re: GLEE on Fox If I heard correctly, Josh Groban will be making a guest appearance, so you can count me in !!I thought this looked at first like another "Fame" or "High School Musical" type thing but I will give it a fair shake since Ryan Murphy is involved. The previews looks pretty interesting. |

| Re: GLEE on Fox I was a huge fan of Popular *sighs* and the previews of this show remind me of that show.... so I have high hopes for it! I'm looking forward to watching it and already have it on record. Hope it doesn't let me down like Greek did (had high hopes for that too but it lost me after two seasons and the introduction of completely unlikeable characters/plots). |
