I missed both Buffy on Monday and Angel on Wednesday! Can someone give me a quick synopsis of Wednesday's Angel? I love Lorne, too. I also liked Wesley when he was funny and insecure...I don't care much for the dark Wesley.

Doyle was not " written" off the show. The actor playin Doyle did not want anything more to do with the show. I can't remember his name off the top of my head, but he played Becky's husband on the old Roseanne show.

LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) - Actor Glenn Quinn may have died of a drug overdose, police say.
Quinn, 32, a former co-star of "Angel" and a recurring player on "Roseanne," was found dead Tuesday (Dec. 3) at a friend's home in North Hollywood.
Los Angeles police suspect a drug overdose and will keep the case open until toxicology tests are complete, the Los Angeles Times reports. No foul play is suspected.
A native of Ireland, Quinn moved to the United States in 1988. He first appeared on "Roseanne" in 1990, playing the boyfriend, and later husband, of Roseanne's daughter Becky.
He made his movie debut in the John Travolta movie "Shout" in 1991, sharing an on-screen kiss with a then-unknown Gwyneth Paltrow. He played the half-demon Doyle on the first season of "Angel."

i watched the first 2 seasons but stopped watching this season because
#1 hated the stupid direction the show was going in (cordy a goddess? puh-leeeease and not a cordy/angel fan and hated hated hated connor)
#2 they put it against alias
but i started watching again when faith came back - and there's nothing else on wed night anyway.
i still hate hate hate hate hate connor and wish he would just die already. i'm finishing the season just because but again, not sure i'll watch next year - if the show is picked up.
I thougth I was the only one who hated connor. good to know im not alone
thats really sad about Glenn Quinn![]()
I kinda of agree with Bliss & splatty. I've always liked Buffy and when Angel was spun off in a more adult direction I was optimistic, but....somethings not the same.
Josh Whedon has tried to duplicate Buffy with the same cast of characters but lightning rarely strikes twice. Fred is no Willow, Gunn is no Zander, Cordelia is no Joyce & Wesley is no Giles. The one exception is Lorne is just as good as Anya.
When Angel debuted it was dark, witty ( lawyers as demons!) and sharp. It had a few hiccups that needed fixing ( police officer Kate), but otherwise was pretty good. This season has seen to many good things written off and to many bad things continued.
Gunn and Fred need to be killed off and Wolfram & Hart and Lilah need to be resurected.
