| Re: Harper's Island That's too bad. I really think they didn't do a very good job promoting the show though. I'm not an avid CBS viewer (well, except for their Monday night comedy line-up and CSI:NY & Criminal Minds), but I orginially discovered this show here on FORT (thank you!). I also think they could have waited to premier it till later in June, it was too soon after the finale season - I think most people don't expect a new series to start up that quick. Anyway, we enjoyed it while it lasted... and thank you to all for your fabulous spoilers! ![]() |

| Re: Harper's Island Here are some more loose ends tied up. The info is from Karim's blog "Notes of an Assassin." A lot of folks have been asking about the red ink in Kelly's eyes. It's twofold. The killer wanted the audience to believe that the red ink would link everything to Shane, the tattoo artist who has access to red ink. Also, the red ink was supposed to draw the Sheriff's attention to the red-eyed bear in Kelly's apartment, which led to the newspaper article with the words "Liar" written on it. The way Malcolm's death scene was written was not what the audience saw. As written, Malcolm begins throwing the money into the furnace, until he's yanked off screen and butchered to death. As soon as the butchering ends, we would then see Malcolm's body parts (arm, leg, head) being thrown into the furnace. That's what we shot and presented to CBS in our Producer's cut. CBS loved it, but felt that we should cut the scene without showing Malcolm's body parts burning. Even though I thought that the backstory fell short and more time spent on the characters rather than the slashing, I also thought that they hit some great high points such as Cal and Chloe's death scenes, Henry Dunn's transformation from concerned groom and best friend to psychotic killer, etc. I am sad another season won't be produced. It was fun trying to figure out the killer - even though I completely sucked at it. |

| Re: Harper's Island I hope they put this on DVD. I'd really like to watch it again and also see some scenes they may have deleted. They guy who played Henry was a really good psycho--it was one that I kept thinking about, which is what I liked in a character. |

I am sorry to say that I glossed over every time Karim talked about the DVD's - there will be deleted scenes of course, Harper's Globe stuff and if I remember correctly, packed bonus material. It will have a lot of featurette's, audio commentaries from cast & crew - usual stuff. Due out September 8.

| Re: Harper's Island I am disappointed that it's over because I enjoyed it so much, but really? Where would they go with another season? Someone else goes psycho and does the killing? Maybe Madison, all grown up and deranged from her experience on the island. That I could go for.

| Re: Harper's Island You see right about them not promoting it very well, I didn't know what it was at first, I thought it was a reality show..I'm one that usually records the first episode of everything because I like finding new shows, but not everyone is like that..

"Harper's Island was always meant to be a 13 episode storyline. If given a season 2, we were working on another story, with new characters, new location, and new killer. Some of the ideas floating around were: Harper's Safari, Harper's Semester At Sea, and my favorite, Harper's Sorority Row. It would have been fun to cast." I guess we see another reason why it wasn't opted.... Sorority Row ![]()

| Re: Harper's Island I really enjoyed HI. I'd like to see if as a summer show, but I'll get over it. From HI, I would have liked to see more of Madison's story & why she was so creepy. Well, see most of you FORTers on the Lost thread.....

| Re: Harper's Island I was thinking they could do a completely different storyline, but the same idea..different characters, different killer..but 13 weeks and it is solved at the end..
