Was he being loyal to Henry to the end, even though he just gutted him, or was he in such shock that was all he could say?

And I agree with others who say Henry's adopted parents weren't deserving of Henry to go on a killing rampage just because he was adopted. How about he show some gratitude? And it kind of creeped me out that the mothers exchanged their knowing glance about Henry's parentage yet didn't seem concerned that the close friendship of Abby and Henry could have easily turned romantic over the years. I can only hope in the backstory they would have been keeping an eye out for that. And I'm in the camp that wonders if Henry had anything to do with his parents dying.
With respect to Henry's parents, perhaps there was something seriously wrong with them and gratitude wasn't really in order. After all, JD was screwed up without benefit of Wakefield DNA. And Uncle Marty had kind of a sleazy aura about him - perhaps there was something off about the entire family. If that was the case, being both born with psycho DNA and raised by the wrong people, Henry didn't stand a chance.

I will say kudos to Christopher Gorham for his portrayal. I generally love his characters because he has such a charming personality. However, he managed to bring a cold-blooded psycho to life without going at all over the top.

I would agree if Henry gave any indication they did anything wrong to him or to JD for that matter but his whole explanation was that he felt deceived by not being told he was adopted, and thrown away by his birth mother, not that he was abused or neglected or mistreated in any way. I don't think JD really started having the problems he did until after the parents died. And Uncle Marty was going to invest in one of Henry's friends business so I think he did care for Henry. Yeah, he liked the young ladies, but it doesn't seem like he was a bad uncle to Henry and JD.

I think there is a lot of backstory that would have given us better insight had it all been explained better. It did feel rushed at the end to tie up loose ends and so a lot of stuff was left for us to surmise on our own. My only hope is that Lost gives us a satisfying ending, considering all the questions that show has raised over the years .

That would have been wonderful! I wish they had done that.

Re: Harper's Island

Wow! Don't they give emmys to mini series? Christopher gorum played one of the creepiest psychopaths I have ever seen, he was completely sweet and normal until you find out he is a killer, and then its like changeo! And then, he turns sweet at the end while still being a psychopath, but to him it all seems completely logical lol harpers island succeeded in making me really warm up to a character, I did say having it be Henry would be the best twist, but then at the end I left feeling very disturbed lol he was much better at being psycho than I expected..now my mind is going round and round wondering if there were clues

Re: Harper's Island

The actor did such a great job playing a normal guy with psycho issues. I could see it in his eyes and for that, he was a great actor in this!

Re: Harper's Island

Some Tweets from Karim answering tweets:

yes, jimmy & abby eventually get back to the mainland and share their story with everyone

he was smiling to let her know he was ok, then he saw henry coming at them...

henry closed the pool on trish

H was never abusive with JD, until he killed him. We wanted to say that H killed his parents, but never got to it. (Finally, my suspicion was confirmed)

yes, romantic love. he wanted to be alone on the island with A, as she wished when they were kids. he took it to heart.

our ratings were baaaaaad

hideout was abandoned, FBI thought everyone perished in the church fire and that JW was to blame, perhaps with Jimmy

H had A in the house for a couple of days. she kept slipping in & out of consciousness, til she finally woke up.

Henry cut up JD, with a bigger knife. JD tried telling Abby, but he couldn't get it out

HI had great internet views, but unfortunately that doesn't come into play with ratings

never feared they would fall in love. sarah was happy to see her son/henry grow up. the glance was a "knowing" one

henry killed ben. JW killed lucy, cal, beth, and the deputies

ave maria had no significance, just a creepy song. wakefield broke the china.

To All.....Gigi is alive & well. Promise.

Re: Harper's Island

Forgot to include these:

wakefield made the creepy calls

the dunn's always vacationed on HI, and that's where sarah met them

henry was always going to be the killer

richard gathered the clippings on his own, to learn more about the wakefield killings from the past.

the mom's knew of the adoption, the sheriff did not (answers that question)

Sorry for the double post

Re: Harper's Island

CBS had high hopes for this series before it premiered. They thought it was going to be really big. It did not get good ratings in its first few outings, so they moved it to Saturdays. The ratings were some of the lowest ever posted even when they moved it to Saturday, so CBS will definitely not be bringing it back.
