| Re: Harper's Island I'm glad it wasn't Jimmy and that would really only leave Henry since Sully and Danny weren't really central to Abby's story. I wonder if it was intentional that JD used his last breath to say "it's all about you Abby" instead of saying "Henry just killed me!" Was he being loyal to Henry to the end, even though he just gutted him, or was he in such shock that was all he could say? And I agree with others who say Henry's adopted parents weren't deserving of Henry to go on a killing rampage just because he was adopted. How about he show some gratitude? And it kind of creeped me out that the mothers exchanged their knowing glance about Henry's parentage yet didn't seem concerned that the close friendship of Abby and Henry could have easily turned romantic over the years. I can only hope in the backstory they would have been keeping an eye out for that. And I'm in the camp that wonders if Henry had anything to do with his parents dying. And yes, Trish deserved a more fitting ending. I guess though they needed to start wrapping things up and only had so much time to do it in. I was really hoping for flashbacks on the killings and can't even remember all of the ones Henry said he was responsible for. Henry's explanation about how he and Wakefield first met and connected was one of the more ridiculous parts of the story. It would have been better if Wakefield did the killings because he knew about Henry specifically and then sought him out after the killings to tell him who he was. None of this "one year later" crap. I always suspected Henry had an unrequited love for Abby and he was one of my front runners for the killer. It was disappointing though that spoilers from the producers or whoever were adamant there was only one killer and then suddenly there were two. I would have preferred Wakefield to have died from the Sheriff after the initial rampage and then Henry finding out later he was his son and then did the killings because of the "might have been" that he never got to experience in meeting his father. But regardless, it doesn't explain why all the friends had to die. That was just useless blood in my opinion. Still, overall I enjoyed it because I love murder mysteries in general. I just wish that since this one had 13 weeks to unfold, that it would have ended with a little more explanation. One last thought, being a pet lover, would it have been too much to have Shea and Madison find the little white dog and take it with them on the boat? ![]()

| Re: Harper's Island The ending felt rushed to me. I am disappointed. I really thought the part about the cash was just thrown in there so we wouldn't complain about things not making sense. |

| Re: Harper's Island I only watched a few webisodes of Harper's Globe. Was Henry also Cheshire Cat or Dangerous Wreck? Was that story ever resolved? Also, I was reminded that Abby woke up in her bra. What was that all about? Did Henry undress her to get a peek? Ick.

I really enjoyed this series, but me personally, I didn't feel one bit sorry for Henry. He obviously had a sociopath inside him, which daddy dearest unleashed. Henry bashed an innocent stranger's head in, in Seattle, to get a feel for killing. That Henry had to become engaged to Trish, and then kill her friends and father just so he & Abby could be together is pretty convoluted, IMO. But, as I said, I really enjoyed this "mystery event". Hope they have another one in the works.

Cheshire Cat was Andrew Cullen. His father was the male Wakefield hung from the Tree of Woe along with Sarah Mills and Kelly's mom. The story has been resolved (episode 15 on the Harper's Globe site) and the writers pay homage to Agatha Cristie with the ending. [[ Dangerous wreck uploads a video showing how he killed the survivors of the accident and set the car on fire. He then shows a noose and says something along the lines of "You know what you need to do now." Robin then hangs herself. We then see Wakefield on the camera. So Wakefield was Dangerous Wreck ]]. | |
