Either knocked out for longer than one realized or they were on a supersonic jet (if they still use those).
And they'd care if they were across the ocean because regular officers - i.e. Beckett and company - who WERE investigating the case and know the abducted women - have zero jurisdiction. This means less interference of possibly being caught with the girls before the ransom is paid.
All I could think about while watching this episode was that I would absoltely die if I were kidnapped in heels that high. Please, Mr. Kidnapper, give me time to change into my Keds.
Loved the epi and can't wait for the conclusion and why they're in Paris.....
It is very much like "Taken", so I wonder if it's a human trafficking thing.
Interesting how much buzz this episode has created. It lets us see another side of Rick that is usually hidden under his sarcasm. Interspersed with the "fun" episodes, I don't mind something serious - as long as I don't have to go back to the Beckett's mom's murder story line!
Of course not to quibble, but we never see Beckett's team using inappropriate interrogation techniques, but now that it's Alexis everyone is on board with it. Won't that affect prosecution?
World of Castle? - I don't know. All Castle would have to do is claim the guy flinched or tried to run away and he cried out in pain from that. Beckett would also back it up. Plus the captain clearly showed she'd turn a blind eye to most of it.
And - THEY haven't done anything inappropriate - just Castle who isn't an official member of the team. Their fault is turning the blind eye to his technique.
and other than Law and Order, these kind of shows rarely touch on what happens after the arrest.
