Their separation scenes as she moves to grown daughter touched my heart. There is so much love and respect in that family that you almost never see on tv anymore.

I agree that they are handling Beckett and Castle's new relationship with tenderness and humor. I'm sure we'll see some ups and downs, but I think the glue is there to hold them together. Ryan, Esposito, and Lanie are among the best written and acted supporting characters I've seen. The appeal of the show would be lessened without any of them.
I knew from the moment they found that doll in the storage bin that it would be the key to solving the crime. That was confirmed when it was shown to be something that brought out a softer side of Gates (who is still the weakest character for me.) There was another clue later on when someone, I think it was the rich woman whodunit, said something about when she saw the doll was missing....

I adore this show, but still want to see some more of the poker games.
I agree with all you said. I would add that Susan Sulivan as Castle's mom is another standout supporting character.

Yes, nanarama, it was a total oversight that I left out Susan Sullivan's name. I meant to include her in my sentence about the family's love and respect for each other. I've enjoyed her work since back when she was an ingenue on Another World.

Agree with all of the above...just adding that Alexis said she was 5 miles away--so she should definitely still be dropping in.

What I am liking about Castle and Bones is that writers were not afraid they would lose the sexual zing between either couple if they got together. It is nice to see the writers exploring the newness of the relationships and in Castle's case it seems like it will be quite fun. Looking forward to next weeks Hampton's getaway.

Watching her perform on this show makes me realize why so many people were upset with her leaving "Falcon Crest" all those years ago.

And I agree on the scenes with Castle's daughter - she is a teen and obviously has teen issues, but they're a bit better portrayed than how teens are portrayed nowadays. I think the move to college is good because a. it shows how the characters are growing up and b. allows Molly Quinn (the actress who plays Alexis) to do other projects if she chooses. Shes' still quite young and unlike a lot of young talent actually a good actress so all the better.

LOVED Castle last night - so much so that I watched it twice! I worried that the romance with Castle and Beckett would ruin the show for me, but it hasn't at all. don't know how long they can keep t up, but right now it's working.

My favorite scene was the one where Ryan reveals that he knows the truth about them. All three of them were spot on in their acting and so funny.

I'm looking forward to the next epi but wish I didn't have to wait TWO WEEKS.

    Darn Presidential Debates.

    GREAT episode last night.

Also Tamara Braun, I watched her in so many Soaps and wondered what happened to her. She looks awesome.

I love that Castle and Beckett are finally together...and how great was NF's shout out to all the "Caskett" shippers last night I know I'm dating myself with this one, but does anyone else remember "Hart to Hart" - or the even older "McMillan and Wife" (ok, I was only like 6 when that was on)? Those were fun shows in their day and the leads were already married. And how about all those great old "Thin Man" movies? Nick and Nora had chemistry and "witty banter" all over the place! Good writers should definitely be able to write great stuff...even when it's no longer about "will they or won't they" because they already have

I agree, I can definitely see a Nick and Nora thing for their future. Poor Espo, the only one not in the know (I'm not sure about the ME whether she's guessed or not). I'm guessing we will see that gradually everyone knows but keeps it to themselves thinking they are the only one who knows.

Tamara Braun! I knew she looked familiar--thanks!
