This show is just pure fun. It combines drama and pathos with witty and intelligent humor.

Putting the terrific Castle/Beckett relationship aside for a moment, the scenes between Castle and Esposito, even if short, are pure gold. Ditto for Castle and Alexis. She is a delight as the best teenager on television. She is mature and serious about her life, but she has enough of her father in her to be an absolute delight. Kudos to Molly Quinn. Rick asking Alexis, "But who's going to play with me?" was perfect.

As for Castle, he's mature and caring enough to have provided a great life for the family that he loves, but the part of him that won't grow up is wonderfully endearing and exactly the kind of man that I would find attractive.

I've been getting bored with this show lately, but this last episode was a lot of fun to watch. I hope they keep things more in this spirit from now on.

It looks like next week they're going to go back to the "Who Killed Her Mother" storyline.
I never like those. Too dark, & nothing lighthearted about them.
I'll be watching but I hope they finally put an end to that storyline & go back to the Castle/Beckett/Ryan/Esposito "Who's the Killer" stories.

Exactly. One reason why I haven't watched another favorite show, The Mentalist. If I hear about Red John one more time, I'll want to slap my wrists. (Because slitting them would leave a mess...)

That's exactly why I completely gave up on The Mentalist. I loved the character interaction, Jayne's background bits, & his style of solving the crime, but Red John was an ugly part of the show that put me off. WAY off.
I just couldn't take it anymore.

It's the finale - and we haven't seen many shows this season regarding her mother (did we see any at all after the premiere this season?)

I dont' mind these episodes, since it is a thread that carries from season to season. Is it tedious - sure, but it's also real life and I don't feel like it's been overdone this season. But I would love to see them wrap it up either in the finale or in the next season's premiere.

As to the Mentalist and Red John, they have def been downplaying that this season, compared to other seasons and I find I really don't enjoy the show as much as I used to - but I love Simon Baker and will watch it regardless.

I'll watch it, when everything else has already been watched. The good thing about the DVR is that I can do a marathon and everything is fresher in my mind.

Ok...who is the actor who played the sniper? I know I've seen him before but can't place him.
I hate when the cops throw me in the back of the squad car ....like they didn’t hear me call shotgun.
