Thanks! I couldn't picture/remember that phrase for the life of me.
I was delighted to see the poker game back last night and the empty chair reserved for Cannell. Loved the way the Connelly and Lehane taught the young upstart some lessons.
Love what Ryan and Esposito add to the show. Love how Castle lets his vulnerability show through.

We had a power outage in the last 15 minutes of the show so I never got to see who murdered the swimmer...and if there was any more interaction between Castle and the other writer...I got a chuckle how Castle took they guys book review off of his face book. LOL.
Choices are the hinges of destiny.
It was the star swimmer. Rocket Rod or some such. He'd also been taking steroids while competing. The swimmer had gone to him about his teammate taking drugs, and he worried that if he (the murdered swimmer) made the allegation public, people would suspect him too (as he had the same coach as the other swimmer who was doping) and rerun his old drug tests looking for the designer steroid.

See above for killer....the new writer is now hanging out with the other two guys on the team, after Beckett said she'd be a "one writer woman" when Castle confessed his jealousy. One of the guys hanging with the writer asked if a guy could be a muse. And the new writer said he was revising his next book not to have the girlfriend do it and thanked him (and the poker players) for the advice.
I did find it funny when the writers lambasted the young writer for having the girlfriend be the murderer, saying it was an obvious choice, considering that 90 % of the time who the murderer on Castle is apparent from the beginning. I had the star swimmer pegged from the outset. I enjoy the show but not for any great mystery angle.
