Same with me. I watched it from the beginning and was bored to tears. Just not for me.

Marlena - I think pretty much ALL of the characters on this show are borderline disturbing. That's the point of the show. These people do terrible, despicable things but, in many ways, we still root for them.

I think the biggest detriment for me is the pacing of the show...seemed a little too slow for me. Don't like the bland scenery either.

Really? Wow - I don't find any of the SOA guys disturbing but maybe it's just because I luuuuuuuuv them so much. Yes, perhaps I'm sick but while some may not be "aesthetically pleasing" knowing their personalities keeps me very much on board with each of them. Even Clay... with all he's done... I'm still on board with him but understand if they do away with him.

Personally I find these humane mouse traps rather ineffective. Better to lay down some glue and when you hear the critter scream you take a shovel to his head.

Maybe it's because they're on TV, but wouldn't you cross the street to avoid these guys? They're violent criminals - they run guns, deal drugs, have been involved with porn and prostitution, they regularly kill people and are all ex-cons. In my mind, that's ALL disturbing stuff. As much as I love Jax, look at what he did to Wendy. On the show, they're allowed to be good guys even though they do terrible things, but in the real world, they wouldn't be considered anything but bad people.

Oh it's totally because I "know" them. If I came across anyone who looked like that, well, hellzyeah I'd cross the street! But "knowing" the guys the way I do, I just love em all. Pathetic, I know LOL!

Oh, I hear ya there. I've "forgiven" those SOA boys and justified so many of their despicable behaviours over the past couple of years.

    Re: Sons of Anarchy

So, I'm kinda bored and was just checking season premiere dates of the few shows I still watch (True Blood, Dexter, The Newsroom - all starting in June or July, dammit!). Happened upon this article about SOA - it's not really "spoilers", IMO, just some teases. But if you're particular about that kind of thing, don't click on the link.

I am just delighted at the tidbit about Jimmy Smits being "promoted" to a series regular.

    Thanks AJane

I know it's impossible but I'd love to see Venus Van Damme (Walton Goggins) as a semi-regular / recurring character. Just LOVED me some Venus Van Damme LOL!
