I watched this show some time ago and just wasn't hooked. I think I only watched one episode. I only tuned back in over the holiday, since there wasn't much on tv. I got it ON DEMAND. I really liked the recent four shows I saw. I will definitely keep watching it when the new episodes return.
I no longer watch this show since the RJ reveal - it was like pulling teeth getting to that point, so I'm happy to remove it from the 'watch list'
the only show I remember getting a complete revamp (but not mid-season) was Harry's Law.
I agree---you should give it a chance, anders! It's much more lighthearted and fun now.
In my timezone, it's on against The Good Wife (CTV) unless I tape one of them and I much prefer watching shows live.
no more Van pelt though right? Not a great loss. Although it's good to know they show isn't terrible.
Yeah, in the reset a year or two in the future they have set up a private investigation firm. So I suppose now and then their expertise might be used, but now that the setting is in DC and the FBI I think that most of the old gang...his mom and daughter included, will have smaller roles. Cho is also at the FBI.
I also quit watching The Mentalist a while back. The whole Red John storyline just sucked the enjoyment & creativeness out of the show. Every time Red John was mentioned, it was like someone threw a cold wet blanket on it. It was the ultimate downer.
I think I'll give this "new" Mentalist a try. Maybe they can bring back some of what I liked so much in the beginning.
If you can get the last two shows on demand or elsewhere, take a look. They set it up how they all wind up at the FBI, and also show that Patrick was actually taken in by a female FBI agent, or at least so it seems. They are pretty lighthearted... Lisbon at a small town police dept., etc.
I think it is funny how Cho is now wearing long sleeve shirts now that he has a grown up job with the FBI. I sense that they will have Cho turn into somewhat of a bad guy. I think he has always been jealous of Patrick and now is an opportunity for Cho to release his dark side.
On another note I was channel surfing and started watching the movie Red Planet. One of the astronauts was Simon Baker !
