Katydyd, I'm glad Steve isn't the father either. I would have liked it to be Brandon too.
Oh, he is younger than I thought. I know one of the actors on that show was in their 30s - I want to say it was the lady who played Andrea (Gabrielle something something). I think they were supposed to be the same age as me and graduated the same year as me on the show. I'm now 33. I suppose Luke Perry could pull that off if he's now 43. He might have to botox that crinkly forehead of his, though, LOL. It was crinkly even when the original show was on.

Agreed, Shannen Doherty has not aged well. She has developed a large gap between her teeth. In my "US" magazine (yeah? so? I read US. LOL!) she commented on the gap between her teeth, and how many people wanted her to correct it but she said 'no', but then it was funny how, in all the pics in the magazine, she had a closed-lip smile. Like she was trying to hide her teeth. ???

Gabrielle Carteris was born in 61, and she was the oldest of the cast. Ian was born in 64 making him second oldest. Tori and Brian Austin Green were the youngest making them about the right age to be in High School, as they were 17 when the show started. Everyone else is around the same age '69-'72ish

The gang was one year ahead where I was in school, so it's always easy for me to calculate how old they were supposed to be on the show - they graduated high school in 1993. That would make them 33-34 now (on the show).

Well, to be honest.. the more I watch the show, the more disappointed I get. It just isn't as good as I thought it was going to be. And Naomi (who really does look like a 30 yr. old) & Annie drive me nuts with all of the faces they make! They really aren't good actresses at all IMO.

I'll watch it for a little while longer, to see if anything happens to keep my interest.. but they are losing me pretty quick.

As Mr. Rattus said as he wandered through the livingroom (you don't think he sits down and watches this with me, do you ), you end up with the face you deserve. Shannon is going to be one frightening looking retiree someday.

I am glad Dylan's is the father. There is some continuity there. Didn't kelly and Dylan sort of ride off together into the sunset on the original finale?

I am trying to remember what Kelly's character did for a living at the end of the original series. Was it something that would logically lead her to being a HS guidance counselor?

It's been a very long time, but didn't Kelly have a clothing boutique with Donna toward the end? I don't remember if that was the last line of work she had or not.

I can't remember who was with whom at the end of the original series, either. Donna and David married. Steve married someone, Brenda took off alone, Andrea was divorced with a baby, and I don't remember what the relationship situation was with the others. What was Brandon's story at the end of the series?

Kelly and Dylan were defintely together at the end. She'd broken off an engagement, and David and Donna's wedding made them all sentimental for each other. Kelly caught the bouquet and made out with Dylan. Steve married the girl who had his baby and they started a magazine or something. Brandon had left Beverly Hills, but I can't remember where exactly he went. It had to be somewhere he could save the world. Maybe he morphed into George Clooney.

Oh, yeah, I remember Steve's wife and the magazine now!

Here's a recap of the series finale episode:

Season 10, Episode 27: Ode to Joy
    Original Air Dateó17 May 2000
In the two-hour series final, David and Donna announce their engagement in which all of their friends rush to give them the perfect wedding with Donna's mother, Felice, and Kelly's mother, Jackie, taking over the arrangements and Nat catering for the ceremony and agreeing to escort Donna down the church aisle. Meanwhile, Steve asks Janet to help him form their own publishing company so they both can have time for baby Maddie. Noah returns to Ellen and tells her that he has decided to give their relationship a second chance. At Donna's pre-wedding party, Kelly, Janet, Felice and Jackie are in attendance as well as friends from their past who include West Beverly High principal Mrs. Yvonne Teasley, as well as Andrea Zuckerman and even Valerie Malone. At David's bachelor party, Steve, Noah, Dylan, Nat, and David's father Mel attend the gathering as well as Steve's stepbrother Ryan and former KEG fraternity brother Munz, except for Brandon Walsh who sends his regards to everyone via videotape. The day of the wedding goes without a hitch and at the end, Matt shows up briefly to tell Kelly that he has decided to move back to New York, and she goes back to try to renew her relationship with Dylan.

And it looks like Brandon left the show the year before:

Season 9, Episode 5: Brandon Leaves
    Original Air Date—4 November 1998
Valerie hires Matt for help in representation when her revenge-seeking mother presses murder charges against her for the late Mr. Malone's "suicide". But Kelly becomes angry about another one of Matt's clients who turns out to be the abusive husband from the spouse-abuse victim, Leah (from the 'Elephant's Father' episode). Meanwhile, Sophie begins to market herself for acting work... in the porno industry. Brandon returns from his stay in Washington D.C. and reveals that he accepted a job offer there at a prestigious newspaper company while Kelly reveals to him about her own personal change in opening her new boutique store, called 'Buy This'. Also, Noah takes a lonely Valerie on a tour of bad memories between both of them over the suicide of their unscrupulous, white-collared, criminal fathers.
