| Re: True Blood (HBO) I think it's probably an estate issue where they would have to pay to use his likeness in the show. And there's tons of impersonators but it would be portraying the old Elvis with some mental issues on top of it so that might get more complicated. I don't know. Either way Jessica isn't a replacement for Elvis for me. I only watched the first season and spent my time fast forwarding through any part that dealt with her because it just didn't fit well for me. |

| Re: True Blood (HBO) We now have a thread in the Books forum dedicated to the Sookie Stackhouse books. You can discuss the books here: Sookie Stackhouse books I just got my computer up and running, so I can finally say Lafayette Lives! He's my favorite character, so I'm thrilled he's not dead. They have to get him away from Eric, but I can't figure out how it will happen. He's obviously there because he'd been selling V. Can't wait to see how he gets himself out of it! I'm SO happy the show is back. I loved everything about the first episode. I even love Jessica, who is perfect as a newborn vamp. I still laugh over her ranting at Bill last season "You suck!" and then cracking up. The ratings numbers were HUGE for the first episode, so let's hope they keep it up!

| Re: True Blood (HBO) At first I didn't recognize Lafayette without the makeup and wacky clothes, but was so happy that he was alive. Funniest parts of the opener, Eric bleaching his hair and Bill having to deal with Jessica and telling her that they recycle. . So glad its back. |

| Re: True Blood (HBO) I am such a big fan of the books and series but for some reason I found myself a bit dissapointed after the show last week...it just felt like something was missing? Maybe I am just ready for the Eric progression and I am subconsciously getting angry because I don't see it happening anytime soon. Anyone else feel a bit 'blah' about the premiere...or was it just me? |
