Good. The show's been on a downhill slide for a while. Better to go out leaving (some) people wanting more. Plus, the actors playing vamps aren't getting any younger. At a certain point, it starts to look ridiculous. Stephen Moyer and Kristin Bauer van Straten in particular have aged noticeably since the start of the series.

Kristin still looks fabulous, but she's in her mid-40's and that wardrobe requires her to stay really thin. If she had a little more weight on her bones, she'd look younger.

Aw. I hate to hear that, but I had a feeling it was coming. And honestly, the show isn't as good as it used to be...I mainly watch for Eric and Alcide and not the storylines.

I watched for the eye candy too. I usually fastfowarded through episodes to something that looked reasonably coherent.

I'm glad it is ending. I came so close to bailing several times this season as I feel the writing and storylines are just getting ridiculous. I can hang on for ten more episodes though, as long as I know it is ending. Hoping for an ending less 'meh' than the books gave me, but not too hard/hopes not too high. I'm hoping it is a 'back to basics' season more reminiscent of season one.

I'm also glad that it is ending. I can hang in there for one more season!

Thought season 5 sucked and that's why I left. Alan Ball killed the show and then bailed on it.

Some re-casting news for the coming season:

‘True Blood’ Season 7: Nathan Parsons Cast as New James, Replacing Luke Grimes - TVLine

The article is a little spoilerish as to the relationship between James and Jessica. I'm thrilled because, although I thought Luke Grimes did a fine job, I really like Nathan Parsons a lot.

He's kind of a dead (pun intended) ringer for Luke, so it works for me!

I liked Luke in the role. He and Debra had good chemistry. I'm good with the re-cast regardless. Excited to see the final season!

The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realise it doesn't say anything it's too late to stop reading it.
