At least Chris Meloni is not afraid of acting in the nude.

I think one of the requirements for casting on this show is to not be afraid of nudity.
I don't object to the concept of a deity, but I'm baffled by the notion of one that takes attendance.

I doubt there's any way he'll be a good guy, especially based on that description....and the fact that AB likes lots of bad guys.

Wow haven't thought of this show in awhile. I don't have cable so I watch the seasons on DVD. Is the last season (Season 4 I believe) worth taking a look at on DVD? I was kind of disappointed in season 3... ok really anything after season 1 but I kept giving it a try. So before I go devote energy is season 4 worth it?

No, if you didn't like season 3, you probably won't like season 4 either. I really didn't. I'm not really looking forward to the show now. Maybe I'll watch, but probably not, at least I won't re-subscribe to HBO....or rather, continue subscribing, since I'll probably get HBO for Game of Thrones starting in April. I haven't read any news about TB's new season, but I assume it starts right after GOT ends.

Even though season 2 strayed from the books and changed things, I still thought it was the best season. The more AB goes away from the books and tries to forge his own path, the worse this show gets, imo. He doesn't seem concerned with telling a good story; he seems more interested in being shocking or titillating or creating outrageous characters. Every season, he adds more and more characters and this show gets more and more fractured and chaotic.

I hate it when a show I really like gets ruined like this!

The whole more and more character adding thing is what I had issues with starting in season 2. Actually probably 1 a little bit but then from there on out I had a lot of difficulty paying attention to the all the chaos. I had literally forgot about this show until the thread came up.

Okay, this could actually be really good news: Is True Blood Boss Alan Ball Leaving the Show? - E! Online

IMO, Alan Ball has always been the worst writer of the TB writing staff, so even if he just stopped writing, that would be great. I only wish it was happening sooner. Last season was pretty dismal. I wouldn't be shocked if there wasn't a season 6.
