I re-watched this week's episode and the scenes I liked the best had very little to do with advancing the major plot lines. LOVED Terry getting choked up and being so happy about moving in with Arlene because it's what normal people do. That character is pretty different from the Terry in the books, but I don't mind. Todd Lowe does such a good job showing his vulnerability and his inner struggle.
I also loved the interaction between Jesus and Lafayette. It's about time someone "normal" paid Lafayette some attention. Now watch, Jesus will turn out to be a shifter or just a garden variety freak! :lol I'll admit that every time I see Jesus I think of Lafayette's mother drawling "He's a Messican, but he ain't raped me yet." Alfre Woodard is so over-the-top good in that role.
Jessica glamoring the restaurant patrons into not tipping Arlene, who was so mean to her = :yay Arlene can be such a witch. She deserved that.
Poor Hoyt and his verbal diarrhea date. Did she just spill everything on the first date? :confused I hate to agree with Tommy because I love Hoyt, but he is kind of a big sixth grader.
I'm over Tara being terrorized by Franklin. It's like the Perils of Pauline with that girl. Couldn't they have given her a break after all the crap she went through last season?
Of course Talbot is lusting after Eric. Everyone lusts after Eric! So did he know before that moment with the crown who killed his family and do we know for sure that it was Russell?
Was Kevin that much of a hick in the books? It makes it harder to buy a relationship/affection between him and Kenya if he's that dopey. He's like Gomer Pyle 2010.
ETA: I read some spoilers that indicateClick to see Spoiler:Tommy will be the big bad this season and I'm not happy about it. This would be the second season where a minor, or in Tommy's case non-existent, character from the books is brought to the forefront and given way too much of the plot.
Also, from what I've read, Jason will be learning the truth about Crystal soon. I only wonder if he'llClick to see Spoiler:end up becoming a werepanther like he did in the books. I actually like that storyline, so I'd be happy to see Jason turned.
