| Swingtown Don't think there is a thread for this show as yet...watched some of this show last night. Not sure if I'll make it a part of my weekly tv viewing or not but it wasn't that bad. Not sure if it will last though. Anyone else watch it?

| Re: Swingtown I watched it. It was pretty good. But I must say that I loved all the music, costumes and props. How about that groovy tupperware? I will watch at least one more episode it truly pass judgment. |

| Re: Swingtown I loved the music. Also I think the woman who seems to be at the center of the swinging set...the dark haired hostess ... is just incredibly. She was in some other show recently that got cancelled, as a tempted wife, forget what it was. I should really learn the actress' name....can't even recall her character's name now. Love how of all the guys not one is balding! Are we supposed to assume that the husband of the redhead's best (former) friend is hot for her? There were a lot of soulful looks I thought. For that matter maybe the best (former) friend was as well... ![]() |

| Re: Swingtown I love the music and clothing and hair. Took me waaay, waaaay back...lol. The props/set give the show a legit feel and make the the era being portrayed very believeable.

| Re: Swingtown I'm wondering how much appeal it will have to those of the audience who don't remember the era...e.g., to young viewers. They have a couple of teens on the show, but it clearly looks to be mostly about people of their parents' ages. And even the people of their parents' ages aren't old enough to really remember 1976. Will people who weren't there realize what a shift there was going on in sexual attitudes? Or will they just think the former friend is some kind of weirdo square? |

| Re: Swingtown I enjoyed it. I missed the first few minutes and about the last 5 minutes. Grant Show from "Melrose Place" has aged well. I don't like that porn moustache, but I guess it's in character. What happened in the beginning? I think he initiated a young stewardess (that's what they called them back them!) into the mile high club? And at the end, I saw the new neighbors about to join the randy couple...did they have a foursome or did the new couple chicken out?The flirtation with the teenage daughter and the cute h.s. teacher--that seems pretty worn out. Don't all dramas with h.s. girls trot this plot out? The teacher reminded me a little of Paul Rudd... |

| Re: Swingtown I'm not sure they had sex on the plane... I think he was "faithful" to his open marriage and took her home to meet/be shared with his wife. And at the end apparently the new couple did participate, although they don't show anything but the 4 of them leaving the living room together, and then the next day (true to the hostess's promise) the new couple are just finishing having fantastic sex together (just the 2 of them, at home) and laughing. Then the husband goes to take a shower and the wife first smiles but then gets a meditative look on her face. Not quite, what have I done, but at least thoughtful. Also near the end the new couple's son has the neighbor daughter climb through his window and retrieve (her absent dad's wedding) ring on a chain and backpack, and then he sees her bike off, apparently running away. And the old neighbor's kid comes home with a black eye (having been beaten up by the girl whose rep he slandered) crying and his parents hug him and are last shown around the dinner table together, the kid with a bag of frozen peas or something on his face. |

| Re: Swingtown Thanks! I caught the show a few minutes after it started...and the young stewardess was saying something to him like, "Your wife is going to kill me," and he said something like, "My wife is going to love you." So I thought they had done something and he was taking her home to share with the wife. ![]() |

| Re: Swingtown OK, I thought she had given him oral sex with his co-pilot sitting right there next to them, but I'm not sure. I've still to watch the rest of the show.
