I absolutely agree with your "prop award". I remember those Lancers bottles! I wouldn't throw them away. I'd put dried flowers in them as vases.

I saw last night that they are moving this show to Friday nights. That disappoints me. Isn't moving a show to Friday night the kiss of death?

Yeah, it is. Have the ratings been so bad that CBS wants to kill it? Or have the idiotic religious right-wing fanatics (Don Wildemon, James Dobson, et.al.) gotten to CBS, so it's put Swingtown on death row?

Though with DVRs, etc., as well as embedded advertising, are timeslots really that important anymore? Are networks finally going to wake up and realize that just because no one is watching during the actual airtime, it doesn't mean that no one is watching at all?

Re: Swingtown

This show had better not get cancelled. It is one of my guilty pleasures for sure. The writing and acting are superb! CBS read the reviews online before you kill a show please!

Re: Swingtown

From what I've been reading Swingtown gets good numbers so CBS probably banking on us following it to Friday nights to beef up their Friday nights with a proven seat filler. The thin is, the show that it swapped with, Flashpoint, gets equal numbers so I don't know what they think they are going to accomplish other that pissing us off. When people can't find their favourite shows, they stop watching. Hear that CBS?? idiots.

That's correct:
"Flashpoint" is on tonight at 10pm; "Swingtown" is on tomorrow at 10pm.
However, according to TV Guide, next week, "Swingtown" airs on Thursday (July 31) at 10, and "Flashpoint" on Friday (Aug. 1) at 10.

Re: Swingtown

The one show I like on Thursday and I have to wait until Friday. I wonder if this means Numbers is cancelled or they are just doing this for the summer.

oh, it's real. there's a private swinging "club" about 45 minutes from me (and i only know about that one because i knew someone that was a regular there). and i work with someone that was into swinging with his girlfriend ... they got married and continued their activities. three years later, they're divorced and she's hooked up with someone she met at an earlier swinging party.

it's not a life for me, that's for sure ... but there ARE people that enjoy the openness of the relationships. and if you do a search for 'swingers clubs' on google, you'll find tons of sites with directories.

Re: Swingtown

Listings are so effin' confusing:
According to TV Guide magazine, "Swingtown" is on Thursdays at 10pm, and "Flashpoint" Fridays at the same time. However, TV Guide online indicates that "Flashpoint" is indeed on Thursdays at 10, and "Swingtown" on Fridays at 10.

Why do I even subscribe to the effin' magazine in the first place?
