| Re: Swingtown I am really liking this show. Roger looks awfully nice without a shirt on--I was pleasantly surprised. He is much better looking than Susan's husband. I can see them sleeping together in the future--Roger and Susan that is. I like Janet's character a lot and would like to see more about her. I was impressed at how she stood by him--It would have taken me awhile to be so forgiving. Will he be able to get unemployment--I really don't know what kind of benefits were available in this country at that time for such situations? I am very disappointed in both Bruce and Melinda for cheating--all signs point to that he actually did sleep with her, especially after all Susan did to stick up for her. I have a hard time looking at the daughter and the teacher. The teacher is hot, but the daughter is way too skinny, has horse teeth, and bug eyes--not the pretty girl the show is trying to make her out to be. |

| Re: Swingtown it also angers me that bruce thinks his wife Susan should be demure, quiet and "lady like" while he loves that the slut is independent and feisty |

| Re: Swingtown Not to mention that she shouldn't be able to think for herself and generate her own opinions and only get involved in things if it looks good for him, ie the Ladies Auxilary, even though that doesn't make her happy. But he likes that Melinda is not any of the things he expects for his own wife. |

My "prop of the week" award goes to the Lancer's Rosé in the stone bottle on Janet's counter top during the scene where Janet confronts Roger about his not telling her about getting canned.

| Re: Swingtown I loved how Trina held her husband's feet to the fire about having sex with the stewardess. Loved it when she said something to the effect of, "Maybe I want to make a mistake!" ![]() Trina's now having to deal with the fact that she was that same stewardess at one time. Was her husband married to someone else when they got started? Roger, don't dish it out if you can't take it!! That is still a gross lifestyle. ![]()

| Re: Swingtown I'm sure that lifestyle actually happened but to me, watching it, it all just seems like fiction (in a fun way)--like "Batman" or something. So it doesn't bother me.What DOES bother me is the Deckers' basement playroom. Who cleans in there after the orgies? Do Tom and Trina have a maid? Or do they just hose everything off and call it good? ![]() I soooooooooooooo see a flirtation between Tom and Janet coming up... Susan and Roger will be having sex this season, I think... prhoshay, I don't know if Tom was married to someone when he and Trina began their affair, but she implied an episode or two ago that he had been in a commited relationship when he cheated with her. |

| Re: Swingtown Yeah...I think she shows signs of having the worries/guilt of, at one time, being the other woman. Seems like she's worrying about that old saying, "What they'll do with you, they'll to you." ![]()

Yes, Lois, they were eating the t-bone steaks IIRC and were smiling at each other, enjoying the meal and each other by candlelight. Then the light above the table came back on. Janet had a look of disdain on her face. I initially thought that when the lights came back on, reality set back in, and she was mad/annoyed that Roger didn't tell her about losing the job. She got up from the table and went over to the light switch and turned it back off. Then sat back at the table and smiled at him. I see their marriage improving.....but I also see Roger hooking up with Susan. And I can't remember if Tom was married, but I thought that Trina was the other woman when she and Tom first got together. I am enjoying the character development more and more with each episode. | |

| Re: Swingtown From what I understood Trina was married but I'm just inferring from the conversation in the show. Janet was really pretty this episode. I liked her all dressed down at the end. I was gone for the two episodes prior to this one but watched them online and I really liked when Janet had a talk with the porn star. That was really neat to me too. I'm not a big fan of Bruce at this point but I think their whole relationship shows what change can do to a relationship. Not all open relationships are like that though. But in real life I see people who marry right out of high school who think neither person is going to develop or change over time. And sometimes neither person does until there is some event that starts the change and that's when those relationships implode. But I've also seen some where both people change together that work really well. |
