Two New Cast Members Join 'SNL'

    From Yahoo! News:

NEW YORK (AP) - Two new cast members are joining NBC's "Saturday Night Live" in time for the season's opening show this week.

Fred Armisen and Will Forte will replace Will Ferrell and Ana Gasteyer, two longtime cast members who have left the show. NBC made the announcement Wednesday.

Armisen has appeared on NBC's "Late Night" with Conan O'Brien, a former "SNL" writer. He's also been on HBO's music show "Reverb" and done work on "HBO Zone."

Forte comes from Los Angeles' improv outfit The Groundlings, a troupe that's a frequent farm team for "SNL." Cast members Chris Kattan, Chris Parnell and Maya Rudolph all got their start there.

He's also been a television producer and wrote for David Letterman's "Late Show."

This week's debut features host Matt Damon and musical guests Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band.

I must be one of the few people in the Western world that can't stand SNL.
What's with the sketches? God, they go on and on and on.

I thought I was going to get run off the board for my comments JR so it's good to know I'm not the only one who doesn;t see what the fuss is about.
I think it's an awful show.

I like it. Most of the time. It is crappy sometimes but it's never going to die so you may as well watch.

Conan won his Emmy writing there. And now they have cute, cute Jimmy Fallon.

And these guys TOTALLY aren't going to fill even one shoe of either Ana or Will, plus they should have gotten another woman to replace Ana not another guy.

I don't like Horatio Sanz - the guy couldn't act his way out of a paper bag. And Colin Quinn, when he was on. Other than that, it's not bad.

I quit watching SNL a few years ago and switched to Mad TV because i thought the show was getting pretty boring.Mad TV reminds me of my favorite comedy show of all time In Living Color.

Mad TV is to risqué for me. SNL is usually 80 minutes too long. Except for tonight of course when Bruce will be on

OOh, and Matt Damon! He's Dreeeamy, right Cali?

I'm never up late enough to watch SNL, so it doesn't much matter to me, and since I don't get Comedy Central any more, I can't watch it during the day like I used to, either.
