IN contrast to her legal-eagle persona on the top-rating thriller 24, Sarah Wynter has come out as a bit of a nature bird with some stunning images.
Not that she's entirely comfortable about doing so.
"Oh, I am shy," said the Newcastle-born and raised actress. "In fact, I kind of resent that people would think I'm happy to take my clothes off, because it's always in terms of the story and the character for me.
"I'm the only person on the beach who runs down to the water with my towel on."
The saucier side of Wynter is revealed in the new issue of FHM magazine, published this week.
After heading to New York to study acting when she was 17, Wynter, now 30, appeared in the first episode of Sex And The City, played opposite Arnold Schwarzenegger in the sci-fi action flick The 6th Day, and was also in Lost Souls.
"My first pay cheque, I couldn't believe how big it was," Wynter said. "But I know I bring something unique to a film – and hopefully I'm worth it," she said.
Nowadays, the 30-year-old Newcastle actress is stealing a little of leading man Kiefer Sutherland's limelight in 24, her best role to date.
In the enthralling series, Wynter's character, Kate Warner, appears to be evolving into a potential love interest for Sutherland's grieving widower, Jack Bauer – a development Wynter welcomes warmly.
But she admits she sometimes fears what the show's writers have in store for her – having already had her ruin her sister's wedding day and get kidnapped by an international terrorist.
