Re: LOST - Season Four

The more I refected on last night's episode the more I enjoyed it. The "discussion" between Ben and Charles was so creepy and opens up so many new angles. Wow!

I LOVED last night's episode. I know it's a good one when it ends and I'm still wanting more. That smoke monster was the biggest it's ever been. Boy, was it pissed off! I'm curious about the little cave Ben went into to talk (for lack of better words) to the monster. What's that all about? And why can't Ben kiill Widmore??? If it's part of the rules, then screw it! Widmore supposedly changed the rules so why should Ben abide by them? And where did these rules come from? If there are rules, then it's elluding to a game right? Is this all a game? Who knows. But I am looking forward to next week!

Re: LOST - Season Four

My favorite moments? When the phone started ringing while they were playing Risk...the looks on their faces! Also, when Miles rang the doorbell. That was a classic!

My love for Sawyer returned full force last night. He finally clued in to the "wackos" he was dealing with, and his loyalty and protection for Claire, Aaron and Hurley was so touching. He's a total badass again too! Go Sawyer!

And was it just me or did Kate's flirty glances and smiles for Jack make anyone else sick? Why are they trying to make me dislike her so much? She's basically sharing a bungalow with Sawyer one moment and then back trying to get close to Jack the next. Blech. Even Jack seemed uncomfortable somewhat with how she was acting.

Loved how Bernard knew morse code!

Ben was all kinds of creepy tonight, and his "game" with Widmore is a fascinating idea. I wonder who set the rules that were apparently broken? And what's up with his freaky closet in the hidden room? Does he time travel in there? I can't help but like him, he's so deliciously weird and freaky and clever and bad. Now I really want to know who he is and where he came from, since Widmore seemed so dismissive when he said "don't forget I know who you are" - it's like a great big game of risk played with real people and places by two billionaires.

His little smile after walking away from Sayid was so telling though.

Loved last nights episode...it was so dramatic and left me with so many new questions. Ben's scenes were awesome, I almost felt sorry for him, that man can act! Found alot of little things interesting...like how Hurley said, Austrailia is the key to everything...how filthy Ben was when he came back from that room, as if he literally went down a rabbit hole...how the doctor's body showed up on the island, as if it's a prelude of things to come on the boat. Just loved it all.

Yes, every time I see him in "Lost" I'm stunned how amazingly good this actor is. he is incredible. And those eyes!

The moment when he realized that Alex WAS killed.... And then.."He changed the rules"! The way he said it.. Amazing actor.

Also did anyone notice that Charles said to Ben:" I know who you are. I know WHAT you are"? what's up with that?

Re: LOST - Season Four

Still wondering how Ben got to Tunisia....did I miss something...it seemed like he just "fell" onto the desert somehow. Or do we still not know how he got there? It reminded me of Jumpers (books/movie where some people can teleport). Or did I miss something when I left the room for a second?
And yes, creepy smile, I think he might have set Nadia's death up to get Sayid on his side.
He really did seem stunned when his daughter died.
I also thought Claire was dead, and that this was going to explain how Kate wound up with the baby.
So we are never going to see the tsunami effects on the island? I also thought that might explain what happened to some of the miscellaneous folks living on the beach.
Never assume that someone over 60 doesn't know Morse!!! It was required for a lot of the military until recently, plus it was considered a fun thing to know in their childhood, part of Scouts, etc.

Quite right. I'm sure that that's what Jack, figuring that Morse might be used, called Bernard over to ask him to listen for it.

It sure looks like Jack's got appendicitis to me, but Juliette is an M.D., and they all have to have some surgery in med school.

After the Lost finale, I would love to see someone put this story in book form, with appendices for all the allusions, for all the significant character names, for all the anagrams, and more. It might take a trilogy, but I would read it.

I want to know the backstory now on how Sayid got back in touch with Nadia.

When Ben was in Tunisia, the date was Oct., 2005. The plane crashed in Sept., 2004. I think they were up to the end of December, right around the time of the real-life tsunami. So I don't know if they are still in Dec, 2004 or it is now Jan. 2005 in the island and ship. So he had to have gotten in touch somehow with Nadia in the beginning of 2005 or so and then married her rather quickly!

I also got a kick out of Bernard knowing Morse Code! Daniel tried to pull a fast one there!
I almost think Daniel lied because he knows that perhaps the people back at the ship are in an earlier time and the doctor is still fine then. Was I the only one to think that?

Re: LOST - Season Four

I think Lost is fantastic this year -----except for-----I am so missing the Kate/Sawyer relationship from last season. To me, they are ruining Kate, she seems so wishy washy and fake when she is with Jack. She is her true self with Sawyer. And oh how I loved Hero Sawyer last night. What a dream he is. Sigh.
