I think it is real in the sense that they really gave these people a lie detector test and are then presenting those questions in front of an audience.

However, it lost me with the way it is delivered. The actual lie detector test was administered prior to the show, and yet when the contestants hear the questions they act completely shocked/surprised/embarrassed like they didn't see the question coming. That and all the dramatic pauses annoyed me so much I stopped watching.

Ahh, thanks for the reminder! Just tuning in now.

This girl brought her boyfriend and her boss. This can't end well, right?

Never does. This one's boyfriend looks like he's starting to freak out.
Do you secretly wish your boyfriend would move out? Yes and it's true.

I only watched this show a couple of times and found the ay they drag things out really annoying.
I know it's supposed to create suspense, but I just found myself thinking "For God's sake get on with it".

I did see a show where they did updates on previous contestants. I'd like them to do a whole show of that, perhaps they have, I'm not a regular watcher.

From the first commercial I saw for this show, I was determined not to watch it. I mean really, how can people hurt their friends and family on National tv just for money? Well, I wasn't paying close attention one night and didn't change the channel. It is now a "guilty pleasure", and I watch it just about every week. I agree that the dramatic pauses are too much; I mean, the contestant should know if they are lying on most of the questions. And if the preview shows questions that haven't been asked yet, we already know the result of the earlier stuff. Don't need them to repeat the question and pause after a commercial, either. Gee, if I dislike so much of the show, why do I still watch it? :-)
