Re: Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles

I really enjoyed this first episode too! I love Summer Glau so I was glad that she turned out to be a terminator so I could watch her kick more butt.

After 2 episodes, I like most of it. The fighting and chase scenes are really cool, but some of the dialog is really cheesy. The Sarah character needs to be tougher too, like she was in the movies. She doesn't look old enough either, she looks more like John's big sister.

Summer is way hot though, so I'll keep watching

That is one thing I really liked about the second movie, the transformation of Sarah from a victim (movie one) to a hunter. I do agree that her character has definitely backslid as far as having a fighting aptitude and toughness.

That's a good point JR and Bearcata. I couldn't place my finger on what was "missing" or different and that's it. I wouldn't mind her stronger at all.

I loved the first two Terminators but I just can't get into this series. Linda Hamilton is Sarah Connor to me and this actress (Lena Headley?) just doesn't fit the role. The kid playing John is good though.

I agree. I had hoped that they would find an actress that resembled her.

Is the new Sarah sporting a foreign accent?

Re: Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles

In the show? I haven't heard any slips, but I haven't been listening that closely either.

I've been reading online that there are people who have told "Sarah" that she's too emaciated/skinny/not built enough to play the role. I think, honestly, I have to agree.

I don't know that she is too skinny. Linda Hamilton's Sarah was pretty skinny at the end of T2 from all the working out at the psyche ward.
