Since we are talking Roseanne cast members... What about Crystal? Natalie West has not done much in the past 5 years.

If Roseanne were to be a mother on the show, Howard's would have been the solution with her loud voice.

I saw a minute or two of John Goodman on one of the late shows last night, and I believe he said he and Roseanne have plans to do another sitcom together.

I fervently hope not! John Goodman - okay, the man can act. Roseanne Barr would cause me to watch with remote in hand to avoid her scenes.

Yeah, Roseanne is one of those polarizing figures. You either love her or hate her. This morning I remembered that she didn't have nice things to say about Chuck Lorre, so that might not even be in the realm of possibility.

It would be funny for a former Star Trek member to play the father tho. Maybe Jean Smart or Jaclyn Smith for her mother. Your voice isn't passed down by your parents so it's not like they have to cast someone with a voice similar to Bernadette's.
Derek Morgan: Garcia? I'll tell you what you are to me. You're my God-given solace. Woman you promise me one thing - whatever happens, don't you ever stop talking to me.
Penelope Garcia: I can't right now 'cause I'm mad at you.
    Morgan: I can wait

Hey, if we're going to bring on a Rosanne cast member - would George Clooney be available....

You're right, voice isn't passed down but these characters are caricatures. Most of what makes Sheldon "Sheldon" are his Sheldon-isms. The first (though certainly not only) thing that makes Bernadette "Bernadette" is her voice so to be most believable her mother should share that or at least have the voice be quirky enough so the audience automatically buys into "oh that's definitely Bernadette's mom".

Personally I find these humane mouse traps rather ineffective. Better to lay down some glue and when you hear the critter scream you take a shovel to his head.

Yeah but look at Sheldon and his mother. Those two couldn't be more different. She's a bible thumping, right winger and Sheldon is a scientist. Polar opposites. Although one could say that some women are more like their mothers in a lot of ways. I can't come up with a idea of who would play Bernie's mom at all and it's bugging me. lol

As for the Clooney suggestion, I wish!!

I thought last nights episode was fantastic. Sheldon and Kripke playing, well trying to, baskeball and how sweaty they were at the end. Then Leonard sitting down at the end texting instead of going for help. It what all of us would have wanted to do.

Sheldon and Kripke were hysterical on the basketball court last night with the guys consistently lowering the criterion for winning. I l also loved the fact that the office that Sheldon was so determined to win ended up as being less than desirable. Great episode!
