didn't Georgia play someone's mother on "Everybody Loves Raymond" she may be too old chronologically, but she doesn't look old at all.

I bet we won't see Wolowitz's mother - the draw of her mystique is that we've never seen her - kind like Wilson's face on Home Improvement.

I could see Adam Baldwin as Bernadette's father. He is about the right age and if he played the character like Jayne, it would really match Bernadette's description of her father. I also thought about Megan Mullally as her mother.

Bernadette is pretty reserved and conservative - at least with what she wears. I was thinking more along the lines of a complete opposite mother. Someone like Loni Anderson in her WKRP days or Kasey Kasem's wife Jean (who has her own voice peculiarities).

I see Bernadette's mother as the Irish Catholic version of Mrs. Holowitz. I remember that on Howard and Bernadette's first date they compared notes on how over protective their mothers are and that's what they had in common.

With Sara Gilbert and Laurie Metcalf appearing on this show I wouldn't be surprised if Roseanne showed up as Bernadette's mother. Or to reunite Roseanne and Dan as her parents. I hope not.
