I finally watched the episode yesterday, and I thought it was great. There were so many nuances, and I really loved the different perspectives (depending on whose point of view we were getting). It was really well done.

IMO - they needed to go there with Penny/Leonard. They ended up breaking up after Leonard said "I Love you" and Penny couldn't and Will Wheaton's 'advice'. I never got that either of them stopped caring for the other (especially Leonard) - so this is likely the beginning of dealing with the relationship breakup angst.
And I loved how they projected the storyline first - the 'real' outcome will likely be the complete opposite.

Believe nothing that you hear and only half of what you see. :nono
HOW In the world can Sheldon deliver those lines so dry and humorless. I so would crack up every time!
Gosh, Raj and Howard have joined FORT!
I did learn some new things about flags tonight!![]()
Just think if you had to take online class about flags, from Sheldon co-starring Amy. They were a hoot.
There's no place like home!
