Sheldon reminds me of a young Mr. Bean.

same type of dry humor and delivery. Love it.

I agree, this show is so funny. I haven't laughed out loud at a sitcom in a while...

That's so funny, I told my husband the same thing after that scene where he is uncomfortably sitting on the couch while his roomate and Leslie are in the bedroom.

I've also heard Sheldon compared to Niles Crane from Frasier - but I like the Mr. Bean comparison better!

So I promise I don't live under a rock, but I just figured out how I knew Penny !

    I know- duh!!

This is the funniest show I have seen in a long time! The only thing I remember maiking me laugh as hard is Peter Sellers as Cleuseau.

Please, please, please, do not let this gem fall victim to the strike!

IIRC, it was doing reasonably well in its timeslot... better, I think, than at least one other CBS Monday comedy. And I thought it got a full-season order?

    Not POSITIVE though.

The last two weeks have been repeats. I fear it is because of the strike. But hoping they are showing the repeats to bring in the viewers that were hooked on DWTS.
It is SO funny, LOVE IT!!

I love this show too. But I fear it's because I have a soft spot for geeks (because, hello, here I am), and David. Oh, David. I can't think of that guy without seeing beautiful David from Roseanne. He will always be David to me, even in Christmas Vacation. And the way he hits on that girl who is (lovely) living across from them, ARGGH!! You're cheating on Darlene!
One of these days I'll stop being sensitive. Until then, I'll continue to be devastated on a daily basis. Life breaks my heart.

Penny from across the hall is played by Kaley Cuoco formerly in 8 Simple Rules for Dating my Teenage daughter. I agree though, I want him with Sara Gilbert (Darlene). I hope they bring Sara's character (Leslie) back for more episodes - those 2 belong together!
