Re: Desperate Housewives Season 4

I've read that it will be [[Kayla who dies. Marc has mentioned before about killing one of Lynette's children. Maybe initially it was going to be one of the boys but he decided to rid the show once and for all of the bad storyline that was Kayla and her mother. I never like to see a child die on a show but if it has to be one, I'd rather it not be Penny or one of the boys.]]

I haven't watched Men In Trees since the first few shows but I caught an episode with Justine Bateman in it and she was looking rough even then. No, she hasn't aged well at all. I didn't even think she looked good when she guested on AD with her brother.

It isn't like her twins are unfortunately going to get much punishment at their age anyways... it is more important to get Kayla therapy. Maybe after the roof jumping incident? (but doubtful)

Bree... I didn't not like her storyline last night, but... meh.

Susan... ugh. And what was with Karl's look last night? Did Richard Burgi get a facelift or did he just lose a serious amount of weight??? It was particularly noticeable in the first scene but then less noticeable later. Maybe they reshot the first?

Edie... Hard to believe she was the only one that I completely understood last night. Even her "hitting on" Orson was alcohol. I didn't get the feeling for one minute that she would have done that maliciously. Or did I miss something in my looking away from the tv?
I understand why Lynette was doing that. I probably would be tempted to do the same for my kids because I am just not a tough disciplinarian. I think Kayla should be sent to one of those schools for troubled girls or something like that. Not only because I think she is deeply disturbed and outpatient treatment wouldn't be enough, but also because I think she and her mother were not a good storyline to begin with and she needs to just go away.

I don't think Edie really would have done something with Orson, but she is malicious in that she is very willing to make it appear as though she is messing around with him just to get under Bree's skin

Really, it wouldn't bother me if any of [[Lynette and/or Tom's demon spawn ]] bit the dust. I sure as hell wouldn't want to live near any of them or even eat in a restaurant next to them!

I am glad to see Edie gone...That little girl is pure evil and Tom just sees her as a angel. I am glad Lynette slapped her.

I thought it was a little too easy/quick a way to write Edie out, but I have to at least applaud them for not killing her. There's a chance for return appearances.

Then again, there's still another episode left this season...

Re: Desperate Housewives Season 4

Okay I am "aaarrrggggh"'ing through the whole thing tonight. First, Kayla is out of control. So I applaud Lynette for hitting her. I told my husband "She's a little b****. She should've been slapped a long long time ago." I also found myself clapping for Lynette the second it happened. However, I found myself, once again HATING TOM for his cavalier attitude towards the whole thing. Taking Kayla's side over his wife's. Why did TPTB turn him into such a passive aggressive little wimp? What was Cherry thinking?! Okay, writers, if you read these forums, I hope you see this loud and clear: TOM IS GETTING TOO BORING AND THIS ATTITUDE OF HIS IS OLD. KILL HIM AND KILL HIM NOW!! I'm sorry, but I kind of wish he and Kayla had been killed in that tornado. I find myself feeling sick to my stomach whenever his scenes come on and when Kayla comes on, I just want to reach through the screen and choke the life out of her!
Okay, now that that rant's over , WTH is going on with the Dylan story? So our Dylan isn't the real Dylan? Wow! I know it was speculated by people in here before but I didn't expect to be brought to the surface so soon.
I for one, am very glad that Bree did what she did to Edie. The girls were right. She deserves everything she gets.
Now to Susan, Mike and "Mama". The only mother who was close to being as annoying as Mama Delfino was Mama Solise! Mama Delfino was soooo annoying. I hope to God my mother-in-law doesn't act like that if I have kids. I'll have to smack her. . Loved that Susan faked labor at the restaurant just to get out of there and away from Mama.
Okay that's all from the peanut gallery. Writers, I mean it. It's time to kill Tom and let him take Kayla with him.

Re: Desperate Housewives Season 4

I can't stand the Kayla storyline either, it's been kind of a mess since it began. But Tom can be a really funny sparring partner for Lynette when they write him right. They're the only believable married couple for me. Just dump Kayla in the nearest mailbox and move on.

I thought everyone (in the audience) knew Dylan was a replacement kid, I thought that was established early in the season. I've frankly been surprised that the plot is taking this long to resolve since Dana Delaney is obviously this season's "1-year neighbor" like Alfre Woodard in S2. Maybe the writer's strike screwed things up...

I am also detesting the Kayla storyline - can't he dig up another relative on her Mom's side and dump her? I don't want this kid to be killed off (tempting as it may be) but enough!

Dylan kidnapped/replacement - yes, they did imply that she was not her natural born child and I guess now that dad knows she will soon learn that. Guessing Wayne is wondering what happened to his little girl, but why smash a video of his real daughter? Thought Cherry was really pleased with Delaney and I thought she was would be to be back next season - has that changed? Darn! She and Bree are great together!

Re: Desperate Housewives Season 4

I was mostly speculating about the 1-season thing for Delaney, but her storyline has all the earmarks of it: it's mostly mystery/drama, and little comedy (except for her rivalry with Bree), just like Alfre Woodard. But I haven't read one way or the other about whether she is staying with the show. I would imagine even if she was supposed to be a 1-year neighbor, they would have to take the first few episodes of next season to wrap up her story because of the writer's strike. And with Nicolette Sheridan rumored to be gone, maybe there is room on the block for her now. I guess we'll see.

Re: Desperate Housewives Season 4

I loved Kayla putting that shrew Lynette in her place. I can't stand Lynette!

I kind of felt sorry for Edie last night. The other ladies have all lied and blackmailed and they still accept each other.

I wish Kayla had slapped Lynette back.
