My husband said the same thing to me when they showed her.

Maybe she is supposed to look "rough" because she is a drug dealer?

That was Justine Bateman??? Holy crap. I didn't even recognize her. I'll have to watch it again online and really look at her.

Re: Desperate Housewives Season 4

She looked ten times worse than she did when she appeared on Arrested Development (with her brother) just a couple years ago. I too was taken aback by how "aged" she looked in such a short time.

Count me in on the "can't stand the plot lines" for last night - mostly fast forwarding through blathering self-obsessed Susan and evil seed Kayla.

ITA. Susan has become expendable. Her character is no longer likeable. I could care less about her. I am more interested in Bree and Katherine's story lines and even Gaby is watchable... you never know what she'll do next

I agree with you. I didn't like anything that happened last night... not one little bit.

Gaby has effectively crossed that line between "selfish but with a heart of gold" to "mean-spirited bitch"...

Lynnette... it isn't that I didn't like her actions last night because I completely understood them. But to allow Kayla to get away with her actions simply to protect her twins? It isn't like her twins are unfortunately going to get much punishment at their age anyways... it is more important to get Kayla therapy. Maybe after the roof jumping incident? (but doubtful)

Bree... I didn't not like her storyline last night, but... meh.

Susan... ugh. And what was with Karl's look last night? Did Richard Burgi get a facelift or did he just lose a serious amount of weight??? It was particularly noticeable in the first scene but then less noticeable later. Maybe they reshot the first?

Edie... Hard to believe she was the only one that I completely understood last night. Even her "hitting on" Orson was alcohol. I didn't get the feeling for one minute that she would have done that maliciously. Or did I miss something in my looking away from the tv?

I understand why Lynette is handling it this way, but it's a timebomb. One of the kids is going to tell someone else, and then Lynette and Tom are guilty for covering up a crime. Lynette and Tom need to consult with an attorney and then take it from there. Extra KP duty won't cut it. When the authorities find out, the kids may be taken from them, so I don't agree there may not be much punishment. It's a mess.

Re: Desperate Housewives Season 4

Anyone read Kristin's EOnline spoiler chats?

A big one about DH in this week's column.

[[Benny in Phoenix: Who is dying on Desperate Housewives? Is it someone big?
Big enough that Marc Cherry actually looked as though he might burst into tears while he talked about saying goodbye to—spoiler alert—her! "I said goodbye to a couple of people," Marc told us, "and it really broke my heart, and I had to change storylines because of where the writing staff wanted to go, but that doesn’t make it hurt less when you have to say goodbye to an actress you love." So at least one of the big deaths is a female, and it sounds like the plan has changed. Any guesses? The obvious choice is Nicolette Sheridan, who's been rumored for months now...
