Re: Moonlight

How can they let Ghost Whisperer continue and not Moonlight? (Sorry to any GW fans...) C'mon, leave it on Fridays...not a huge night for tv audiences generally so who is it hurting if they leave the show on? I know it has loyal fans...this forum proves that!

CBS (like many networks) is only interested in one thing and one thing only, the ratings of the original airing. They could care less when it comes to the number of people who Tivo-ed the episode or the number of times it was downloaded from the website.

My sentiments exactly! Very disappointing however, ABC has been buying or trying to buy up recently departed shows so maybe....... fingers crossed.

Re: Moonlight

^ And I've heard things about the CW maybe buying Moonlight and putting it on Sundays. Hope, hope, hope.

I hope another network does pick up Moonlight. It has a loyal fanbase. It was doing well in the 18-24 age range which is what the advertizers want. It retained its pilot share of viewers while other shows lost viewers. Those are the reasons why it looked very hopeful that the show would be renewed.

Re: Moonlight

The first twenty minutes of tonight's show were quite slow but after that it got good. Spoiler for those who haven't seen it yet [[ I thought they were going to end it with Mick and Beth apart, which would have sucked. When they instead had Mick go back into Beth's apartment and tell her that he loved her and they kissed, I was grinning crazily. I hope (hope, hope, hope) that the show gets a second life somewhere as I'd like to see more of MickBeth, not to mention Josef. And I'd like to see what Talbot is going to do and who is he feeding him the vampire information. ]]

Re: Moonlight

I agree CCL. It started slow, but ended amazingly. I cannot believe that they're not letting this show survive into next season. It would have gotten really good with the whole somewhat "twist" ending. I'm sad that it wasn't wrapped up nicely like Women's Murder Club. But I guess we did get some closure on Mick and Beth which is really what matters most.

Re: Moonlight

I know CBS cancelled the show, so I thought it was weird how they were promo'ing it tonight as the "season finale." As much as this totally stank of an Angel rip-off at the start of the show, I really warmed up to it over time. Although, I have to say that it took me until this last episode to stop seeing Dana Carvey every time Josef was on the screen. Something about the actor who plays Josef just registers in my brain as a young Carvey and it took me out of the vampireness of the character.

I had a hard time not seeing him as Logan (Veronica Mars) in the beginning but somewhere along the line I fully accepted him as Josef. (But, I was a big Logan fan and have all the VM DVD sets so it was a challenge for me too).

Please somebody buy the rights to this show!!!!
