I find that really annoying - some shows take off in 2nd season. As if they will be able to come up with anything half as good next season.... (Almost wants me to drop the network, but I know I won't.) I hope they decide to reconsider!!!

Re: Moonlight

It isn't for sure. Imdb, for example, has it as being "in limbo" as opposed to putting it in the cancelled column. They better not cancel it or I'll be seriously ticked.

OMG!! I totally had to sit there and figure that out myself, too!! LOL I am sooo glad I wasn't the only one to combine those two shows in my head while watching. Couldn't figure out how the writers could miss such an obvious flaw before I realized I had been thinking of New Amsterdam, hehe.

You know, I don't even know why I started watching this show when it premiered - since I have pretty much accepted that shows of this genre in general don't last too long these days before the networks pull them.

Status of show still to be determined: Guide | TheFutonCritic.com - The Web's Best Television Resource.

Also from reading about it yesterday online and in the TV Guide there is a warm buzz about this show.

Re: Moonlight

, mozzz--so glad I'm not the only one! Also glad if Bearcata is correct and we don't have to combine them mentally into the category of great science fiction shows that were cancelled too soon.....

Re: Moonlight

Bad news guys....

Kristen at E! confirms with producers that Moonlight has been canceled.

Quote:

Moonlight Producers Confirm Cancellation

This just might be the most depressing news yet coming out of the New York upfronts.

I've just received word from Gabrielle Stanton and Harry Werksman, bosses of Moonlight, that the series has been canceled.

They sent me this message to pass along to you fans:

It's true. We found out about an hour ago that Moonlight has been officially canceled.

We are truly saddened by the news and are sorry that we won't get the chance to live with our wonderful characters and follow them on their adventures for a second season.

We really want to thank all our loyal fans for their undying love and support of the show. We never would have made it this far without them.

In vampire solidarity...rah, rah!

Gabrielle Stanton & Harry Werksman

This series has one of the most dedicated, passionate audiences I've ever seen in the many years in this job. And to all of you I extend a heartfelt hug.

Feel free to group-hug it out and express your disappointment at CBS below...

I swear to god, if it wasn't for Amazing Race I would just totally block CBS from even being watched in my house! First we lose Jericho and now this!

Re: Moonlight

This sucks!!!

They could have at least given it a better time slot to see if it picked up any viewers. I know that I never watch it on Friday night, I just watched this last episode online yesterday.
