I think this show was planned to be the finale when Chuck was originally canceled (before The Powers That Be changed their minds and requested more episodes).

I agree. If it had been the finale of the series, at least the writers tied up all the loose ends and everything was resolved. Much more understandable than the finale to "Lost"

For our family, the Lost finale was just right for the show that it was. It was never intended to give all the answers, but rather to allow us to think. We are still rewatching the DVD's, still researching both books and real people that characters were named for, and still discussing many factors and interpretations.

    Re: Chuck on NBC

NBC has announced its renewal of Chuck for one final season. It's scheduled for only 13 episodes; I'd prefer at least 16.

Chuck is one of my favorite shows, but I think this may be a good decision. Another season will give enough episodes for syndication and I think the Chuck, Sarah and family story arc will have resolved itself.

That said, I would enjoy seeing a Casey/Morgan spinoff. There's more story to tell with those characters.

Luckily I don't have any favorite shows on Friday, so no conflict there.

I do have a favorite Friday show, Fringe, (unless that has a day change, too) but I suspect/hope they won't have the same time periods. If so, one will get recorded.

Chuck fans will follow the show wherever or whenever; I anticipate a great final season.

Okay, I am going to follow up my own post because I just loved how they ended this season and so cannot wait for the next. I will put this in spoiler quotes for those who haven't yet seen the episode, but

    Morgan is now the intersect!

It kind of goes with something I wished for in a slightly earlier post.

A query for those who have seen tonight's show....there's a note attached to the intersect glasses that starts To Chuck, or For Chuck. Did anyone tape the show, and can you make out who they were from?

    And I agree, great twist...

maybe will give the recipient as much confidence as it gave Chuck!
