| Re: Mad Men I was just a little kid when Kennedy was assasinated - and I remember the shock and sadness of everyone I knew. I remember asking my mom was crying and was so upset over someone "she didn't even know". (Also, I remember being royally pissed off that there were no cartoons that weekend.) Of course now I get it. The whole episode was very moving. However, I loved how Roger was treating Jane like she was his child rather than his wife. Hey, Roger - wake-up call? I also can't believe there is only one more episode. Gah! I want more!!! | |

| Re: Mad Men I really want the DVDs of this season to come out fast--though I know they'll wait until about a month before the next season starts, which is just too damn long IMO--because I want to track the number of times Don says "Everything will be alright." or similar. I remember him telling that to Paul when he forgot his drunken inspiration. He tells the same to Betty & the kids a number of times. I know it's a through-thread of Don just trying to convince himself that things will turn out right for him, and it may not be that subtle, but that I didn't notice it until the last quarter of the season makes me want to go back. Hell, I notice continuity errors (cap on the bottle of liquor last week's episode didn't need to be remove twice, since it was already off!) so I don't know why I was slow on the uptake with this theme. As Movieline pointed out, I wonder what Peggy's story is going to be to the question, "Where were you when Kennedy was shot?" Certainly not "avoiding getting a hickey from Duck Phillips whist carrying on an affair in a hotel room."! I also hope we get to see how she fixes the Aquanet commercial in the convertible. I like the ad-biz related stuff a lot.

| Re: Mad Men Rich Sommer - Harry Crane on MM - was in Law & Order yesterday. I didn't recognize him, at first, but he sure did a great job. I cannot believe tomorrow is the season finale. This show is still one of the best on TV today. Don't know if I can wait almost a year to see Don Draper!! ![]()

| Re: Mad Men It was in the paper (OC Register). I tried to find it online but couldn't find anything. It's possible that she saw something about tonight being the season finale and misunderstood it. That's what I'm hoping for! |

| Re: Mad Men Rumors of MM cancellation have been around since S1. I haven't found any of the major media sources reporting it, and a cancellation announcement would certainly be newsworthy given the awards and attention this show has received. I would be skeptical until there's a story by a major news outlet. I'm looking forward to tonight's episode, but dread the long interval until it returns. Hope JH will appear on other shows, like his stint on 30 Rock, in the meantime. |

| Re: Mad Men They were picked up for a fourth season: 'Mad Men' renewed for fourth season on AMC | San Francisco Examiner I hadn't heard anything new, but I highly doubt it's canceled at this point after winning Emmys and garnering so much buzz.

| Re: Mad Men /\/\/\The SF Examiner article was written before the Sept. 20 Emmy awards where MM won again for Best Drama. I think it's safe to say we'll get at least one more season (and hopefully more!). |
