    Re: 2007 Emmy Nominations/Awards

There's some level of suck in that list. And some just plain misguided stuff.

I mean I LOVE Boston Legal, but it is NOT viable as a "best drama" candidate. I mean on what planet is that show more "drama" than Ugly Betty?

ANYTHING having to do with the last season of "24" (and sadly that includes Kiefer Sutherland) should not be nominated.

Mariska Hargitay's perpetual nominations annoy the crap out of me. She's not bad, but she's not doing award winning material. Actually, very few ladies on that list are. I love Kyra Sedgwick, for example, and the show she's on, but its not powerful stuff--its a fun, fluffy show.

Supporting Actor, Drama Series list is a REAL mess. Oy! Even Masi Oka is questionable, again despite how much I love him. When a guy like Jack Coleman is doing TEN times the job on the same show? Come. On. You know the whole process is crap when someone turns in a season like Coleman did and gets NOTHING.

The Grey's Anatomification of a lot of the nominations bugs too. The show was CRAP this past year. Manipulative, badly written crap. I don't want to see that rewarded. Sandra Oh is the only one nominated where I can stand the thought. Except that for "Supporting Actress, Drama Series" Rachel Griffiths may be an even better choice.

I hope Heroes wins whatever they are up for - great characters, special effects, unique story.

I also love Dennis Leary of Rescue me and I was hoping that Tatum O'Neal would get a nod. She is great on the show.

I also like Alec Baldwin for 30 Rock and Neil Patrick Harris. The Emmy's and Golden Globes are my favorite award shows!

I'm kind of looking forward to tonight. A lot of it is to see what people are wearing, but this is one of the first years, after reviewing the list, that I've actually watched and or seen most of these shows!

Heh. This Family Guy thing is hilarious. They had me with the mean Sanjaya jokes.

    Also:
the "those women look fantastic for being 65" crack at Desperate Housewives.
    the Sopranos "ending" joke
the joke about Scrubs "which proves a sitcom doesn't have to be funny"

But ew, Ryan Seacrest. Way to bring the show down quick after a great opening.

I was thrilled that he won-even though I thought Michael Emerson might have won over him!!!

He looked great in that hot pink shirt too!

This stage is ridiculous. The celebs backs are to as many people as their fronts.

Is this the same place they have the Idol finals. Also, maybe its me watching in HD for the first time, but the lighting seems kind of harsh.

I'm not enjoying watching the celebs get up to present, it's unnecessary. As usual, Ryan blows chunks. He's doing absolutely nothing for me.

eta: Did Ray Romano curse? that cutaway they did while he was up there was awkward.

What was the issue with a part of the Ray Romano bit? Anyone catch that...

I'm sure it wasn't funny anyway, whatever it was!

When a cartoon and a Macy's ad are the highlight of the night, man... something's wrong. When Katherine Heigl stomps out like a mega-bitch and then wins over Sandra Oh, something's wrong.

At least Christina Aguilera is there. I mean in previous years it might have been Brit-Brit.
