The Tudors

Watched the first 2 episodes of this new Showtime series.. and I have to say it was amazing! It was visually beautiful, well written, with a suburb cast:

Jonathan Rhys-Meyers
Sam Neill
Callum Blue
Jeremy Northam
Natalie Dormer
Gabrielle Anwar
Maria Doyle Kennedy

The Series (Already filming their second season) was shot in and around Ireland, follows the early years and marriages of King Henry VIII (Rhys-Meyers).

The first 2 episodes are on line at Sho.com or you can also watch them on Showtime on demand, if you don't want to wait for 4/1/07

They are also showing them on DirecTv Channel 101.

I agree, FireWoman... it is FABULOUS. I really enjoy period pieces and this series will not disappoint. I've not been a previous fan of Jonathan Rhys-Meyers before, but I certainly am now.

I'll have to subscribe to Showtime just to catch the series.

Showtime is Anti-Canadian. They will not allow Canadians access to their website... nevermind their shows.

I found a way to see the first 3 episodes.

How funny is it that Anne Bolyne and Ugly Betty wear the same necklace?

The show seems to be based on true events but they have taken some license.

I love the opening sequence. I mistakenly thought this was a series about Henry VIII not Henry VII.

So for I'm loving it, I'm a sucker for period dramas

So this is a 10 episode series! It should take us up to Henry's death and Elizabeth I's coronation.
Now I want to see that series Rome.
