I don't think the third episode has shown yet. The first episode aired on Showtime on Sunday night but they had been showing the first two back to back as sort of a promo on one of the promo "free" channels to entice getting Showtime. The series to be shown weekly started April 1 on Showtime. That is what I think I have figured out.

Re: The Tudors

For Canadians: CBC has announced it will begin airing The Tudors this fall. Kind of annoying that we have to wait, seeing as how it is a Canadian co-production. But there you go.

I don't get showtime, but I found I can watch it thru netflix. If you are a member you get to watch movies, some cable shows online. I found out they have The Tudors available. I can't wait.

My memory of it is that she wanted to take the country Catholic again (Henry having converted it to Protestantism) and it got quite "bloody". Her successors were Protestant though, so even today England is "officially" Protestant in a "high church" kind of way (Church of England/Episcopalian) that led to assorted kings and future kings not being able to marry divorced women--but obviously other religions are not supressed any more.

Now I want to see that series Rome.

I was just watching a PBS show on the wives of Henry VIII..I will have
to admit..this show has had me doing searches all day re reading on
history..but I don't know how this first 10 can take us up to elizabeth's
coronation unless its gonna skip a lot...according to what I have read
Anne led him on a merry chase for 6 years before she would even sleep
with him...lol

Re: The Tudors

Yep the series only takes us up to Hnery and Anne's wedding.. I have a hard time getting info on the series as Showtime is anti-Canadian and won't allow us access to the site.
