maybe they'll come back with "Elizabeth and Mary" that would be great. Scary how you can already see the zealot in Mary.

Poor Mary, think about all she went through (in reality is was probably worse).... the people who manipulated this tortures person. I remember reading a book years ago where it was stated that more then anything Mary would have been happy being loved, having a family, having children. Now I am a major fanatic of Elizabeth I, she rocked, but I always felt bad for Mary. From the gem in her father's eye to unloved, motherless (not even to mention how she couldn't be with her mother at Katherine's exile) and then marrying Phillip os Spain who used her and didn't love her one whit. No wonder the poor woman hung onto her Catholicism so strongly.

I loved the ending also...I sorta wished they would continue it up until Elizabeth is crowned....I think just about everyone knows her story since it has been told so many times..but there is not much on what happens between Henry dieing and Elizabeth being crowned except knowing that Mary burned a lot of people...

The final show was, of course, satisfying and rich with detail. I will miss this series so much! That said, I wish we had been give more than a series of text announcements at the end. It would have been great to have a visual tie to the reign/death of Edward, the brief reign of Bloody Mary, and to Elizabeth's Golden Age.

I'm reading a book called "No Will but His" about Kathryn Howard (it's fiction, but came highly recommended.
