What the hell? That's the same bad decision that killed Alias. Didn't JJ Abrams learn the first time?

I think what really killed Alias was the fact that, during the second to last season, they would air maybe two episodes and then give us a month of reruns. Fans just got frustrated over the schedule. Even before they went to the mid-season replacement plan, the show had already lost most of its audience.

I don't watch Lost, but if I did. I'd much rather wait until later in the season if it meant I could see the episodes all together and without lots of re-runs and interruptions.

Re: Fall 2007-08 Season

Looking forward to the new Kelsey Grammer show, although I read a review that said it needed some work. Frasier was my favorite show, and I like Kelsey Grammer. Not sure what to make of the preview on fox.com.

I've actually seen the pilot of Cavemen. Truly terrible. My expectations weren't high (nor would they be for any show based on a commercial), but yikes. Pretty uncomfortable to watch, and not for any good reasons.

I so agree with you, Missy. I saw that pilot and I have to admit I went into it with a bad attitude, because for the life of me I still can't figure out WHO in their right might at some network thought this would be a good idea for a tv show. I mean, it's a horrible and annoying commercial series, so why does anyone think it's going to get better stretched out into a tv series? So I went in with a bad attitude, and left with an even worse one. Oh my god. The pilot makes The Simple Life look like a highly intelligent academic project. Everyone involved in this should be ashamed of themselves.

I think he's going to be a recurring character, rather than the star. Sort of like how Salma Hayek is/was in Ugly Betty.

I quite like the Cavemen commercials. I'll watch the first episode at least, see what it's like.

I'm looking forward to Moonlight and New Amsterdam, two shows which sound very similar and which will appeal to the Buffy-lover in me, I think. New Amsterdam is described on page 3 of this thread. Nikolaj Coster-Waldau plays the lead and he's quite easy on the eyes. Moonlight is about a vampire who works as a private investigator and falls in love with a non-vampire. Alex O'Loughlin is the star - I don't really know anything about him apart from he's also rather cute. Sophia Myles plays the female lead; I've always liked her so I'm eager to see how she does on the show.
And I'll check out Bionic Woman because I'm interested in seeing how Michelle Ryan does in the role (mind you, I've never seen the original so I won't be able to compare the new version with the old).

Re: CBS Schedule

I think the Vampire/cop, PI, etc. genre is so overdone...

That could be said of a lot of genres. Think of all the lawyer shows on the air, or medical dramas. As long as the shows are executed well, I'll be watching.

Re: Fall 2007-08 Season

I'm excited that Scrubs and The Office are going to be back-to-back again.

I heard that Scrubs will only an 18 episode long season, AND it's the last season! Grr!

Good point. I agree with you about Moonlight. I checked out the preview for the show and I'll definitely be tuning in. The main guy is quite a cutie, too!
CBS 2007 Fall Preview

As for Hugh Jackman in Viva Laughlin, I'll take him any way I can get him, I think he's awesome!
