Renewals??

I'm not sure where to put this question, since it is TV related.

Does anyone have any idea when renewals are announced? Is there a certain time of the year? (after sweeps? before? no set time?)

I was wondering about Studio 60, Brothers & Sisters and What About Brian in particular.

The official announcements will come at the network upfronts, which take place in early Summer. The networks will make some announcements of shows definitely in, or definitely out, before then. But anything which is on the bubble will not be confirmed for sure until the upfronts.

Marybeth, The Futon Critic is a good site for finding out information on a specific show. This site puts all the industry press releases up when they are doled out by the networks. It's a good way to see if there's been any news about a particular show.

You might want to check out the individual network's sites, particularly the sites where they offer news releases. NBC, for example, announced in January that they've renewed Heroes, The Office, My Name is Earl & Law & Order: SVU for the 2007-8 season.
