| Technically those two words Cohen used are not obscene. Neither is the medical term for either the male or female sexual organs. In actuality, some old biddy in the Bible belt fell over in apoplexy and when she got up immediately called the FCC complaint line and her congressman, who's already on the phone to various people to put pressure on the FCC to fine NBC. And the Cox-Arquettes have to do the fastest presentation ever. Because heaven knows they couldn't have cut out a commercial or two. I bet Shondra Rhimes gets cut off too. And Hollywood loves her right now. {Ah. She's crafty enough to realize it and is pretty quick about getting herself off before she's humiliated by the bandleader.}

| Good God Beatty droned on didn't he? As usual I'm almost more interested in the fashions than the awards. Jennifer Love Hewitt looked lovely from the neck up and horrendous from the neck down. Cameron Diaz was her usual trainwreck. | |

| Since Heroes lost to Grey's, notice how quick NBC was with the commercial which stopped calling it a Golden Globe nominee and went back to calling it a People's Choice winner? They almost certainly had a "Golden Globe Winner" commercial ready to go too. I actually HAD expected Heroes to win, but as I said Hollywood seems to love Grey's and everything associated with it. Yawn. Forrest Whitaker always bores me for some reason. Best Pic Drama? I call "Babel", because Hollywood feels good about itself when they vote for a film like that. Possibility of "The Queen" since Americans love films about Royalty so much.

| I didn't realize there was a whole thread dedicated, I would have loved to join! However, lots of the comments already said were things I was thinking. Steve Carrell and The Office should have won (and I'm a huge fan of Ugly Betty). Some speeches droned on far too long and some announcers kind of fell really flat. However, all in all, a nice GG ceremony where for the first time in a long time I knew many of the people, shows, and movies. fluff, I'm with you. I love checking out what everyone's wearing and then trying to find those I didn't catch online. Like Jenna Fischer, wow she looked great! So un-Pam-like. Overall though, I thought there were more hits than misses (Beyonce, Cameron, Jennifer Love Hewitt all come to mind for misses). |

| He's mine! | Did the Warren Beatty tribute go on for 30 Min's or what? I was watching What About Brian and i noticed that Hanks was still up there talking. ![]() I was happy about Forest winning because the only movie i was supporting was "The Last King of Scotland". It was so underrepresented in nominations and i wonder why. Him winning is a small indication that the movie would've had some success, I believe. I watch Ugly Betty but i just don't find myself laughing. I'm glad Grey's won.Keira Sedgwick as well? A trend of the night was bows on dresses and it's one i don't agree with. It turned me off. Brad and Ange looked cute. I hated Beyonce's dress and am glad she didn't win. What i hope wont happen for the Oscars is that they put her as a supporting actress because then it would up her chances of winning. Does Jenn Garner have squared hips or what? She's just straight and awkward.![]()
