I just finished watching Stephen Colbert learn to speed skate on the Colbert Report. I laughed so hard my eyes were tearing up!!

    I love this show!

I don't usually catch Colbert but am so happy I did that night. "My Mom could beat you" "really, your actual Mom?" Classic.

I didn't realize that there is a TDS/TCR thread until a few months ago when CRTW posted here. So I would have posted this here months and months ago had I known, but since my friends and I just had a 5/3 Project Party, I thought now would be a good time to post a link to Jon Stewart's classic 11/3 Project Glenn Beck impression. For anyone who hasn't seen it, it's a bit long but totally worth it.

Nice article about John Oliver taking over The Daily Show for the summer starting Monday:

John Oliver: a very British coup - The Guardian

I'll miss Jon Stewart, but John's hilarious so I'll keep watching...I hope!

Caught a bit of the show last night. I was actually reading and husband had it on. I was listening and finally said, who the heck is that. I watch the shows occasionally and actually love both of them, I'll have to tune in to see who this John Oliver is.

I think John is doing a great job, loved the first episode when all the other correspondents were walking out on him because they weren't picked.

He's really funny, I think he's doing a great job so far. He's been a correspondent on the show for years, and he also shows up on the sitcom Community once in a while.

So I live a couple of blocks away from each show and recently going to work I saw John Oliver. In my morning haze I thought 'how do I know him?' because he looked at me too! He was unshaven and a couple of steps later I figured out how I knew him. It was a big deal to me because he REALLY LOOKED AT ME! I will update you all if I become Mrs. BeerBelly Oliver.
