Does anyone know if the series has been renewed for season 2?

I finished the first Dexter book and it is almost exactly the same as the show. Am halfway through book #2. At this time there are only 2 books in the series.

Re: Dexter

Thanks, once again, to my FORT buddies. I'd completely forgotten season 2 of Dexter was starting tonight. I mean, I knew it was starting Sept 30th but heck if I remembered today that it was Sept 30th! LOL Thanks!!!!

Re: Dexter

Dexter is so perversely beguiling and Michael C. Hall is so adorable - I love it.

Re: Dexter

I don't subscribe to Showtime, but they had the last six episodes of Season 1 playing for free on Comcast's On Demand. Wow -what an amazing show.

The lead character (Dexter) seems vaguely familiar to me but I can't place him.

He used to play on HBO's Six Feet Under.

Hey Jewels, I caught these too except that I was able to find the whole season, not just the last six episodes. I have Comcast, too. (Californication is showing up free at the moment if you're a David Duchovny fan.)

I liked it so much I went out and bought the novel. So far, so good. I get the feeling that I wouldn't warm to the character as much if I hadn't seen the TV show just because I like the actor.
