| I've watched very few new series. For one thing, I refuse to get into the serial stuff, because I just can't commit to watching every week, and feel that I've lost too much if I cannot follow the developments. So, of the few I've seen, my top three are: Ugly Betty Men in Trees Shark Jerico was only ok, I watched the first week, and that was it. I also watched the first Smith, and found it meh.

| The only one that I have made an effort to TiVo (didn't get to watch it though) I'd really like to catch Studio 60 and Ugly Betty after all the great reviews. I'm going to have to TiVo them without hubby knowing I'm doing it. He thinks I watch too much tv the way it is

| 3 faves so far... in no particular order: --Heroes - Great meta story and good steady writing so far --The Nine (so far, based on ONE episode) - Far better than I'd thought it would be --Kidnapped - About 10 times better than Vanished. 3 which I like but I am worried about: --Studio 60 - The bad comedy writing is ruining the good dramatic writing for me. --Jericho - intriguing, but unrealistic and in danger of decending into a series of small town morality stories --Shark - I like the star. I like the concept. But I've already seen some weak writing. 3 I'll watch if nothing else in on, but won't bother recording: --Justice -paint-by-numbers. But it can be fun. --Brothers and Sisters - seriously? I was bored. But I suppose I have to give it a chance. --Men in Trees - Parts were quite funny. But its been done before, and much better. 3 I hated: --Smith - I was so bored I passed out. Had a nice nap. --The Class - I hate CBS comedies. And this show just reinforced that. I turned it off halfway through. --Friday Night Lights - Loved the movie. Hated this. Its done by the SAME people too. Its just... 2 hours was enough, and the slower pace of episodic TV didn't fit it at all.

So the new list is: --Showtime's "Dexter" --Darkly brilliant. Scary, creepy, and more morally challenging than anything I've seen in years. --NBC's "Heroes" --ABC's "The Nine"
