Re: Jericho

What is wrong with OK numbers? They are a lot better and poor to bad numbers With some of the shows on it makes me wonder why the decide to give a decent show the boot while keeping ones that are just horrible.

Re: Jericho

It's all about the bottom line unfortunately. OK numbers = somewhat ok advertisting revenue. The more who watch, the more they can charge for advertising, the more money they make. I do wonder where they get their numbers from. I don't watch Jericho on CBS, I watch it on a Canadian affiliate which airs it Monday nights (woo-hoo!). I realize Canadian viewers aren't taken into account but what about all the Tivo & DVR (& VCR) viewers who save the show for later viewing? What about those who stream it online? Does Nielson truly reflect viewing habits?

Re: Jericho

This show is just awesome! The characters are great, and the writing is wonderful. So suspenseful in parts and so tender in others. Skeet's acting is amazing.
I'm glad it is getting great reviews - it deserves them. Maybe some writing or acting awards would help keep Jericho alive. I sure hope they can keep it going.
I'm pretty sure they don't count DVR viewers or webviewers... and I don't know if the Nielson viewers are representative of Jericho fans. :-(
The way the powers that be track viewers really needs to be updated imo.

Re: Jericho

They've been talking about just these issues...the DVR and online viewers, etc. Of course advertisers are not thrilled to pay for a show where people can fast forward through their commercials....

This is one of the inherent arguements of technology's affect on ratings. Neilsen as far as I know only accounts for the people that view it upon its initial viewing, although I do think that networks have the numbers for the people who Tivo (or DVR) the program and the numbers for online viewing. Whether the network takes those numbers into account when looking at the profit of a show, who knows!

And may I just say how hot Skeet looks with his hair this past Tuesday?? LOL! s

Re: Jericho

Cannot believe that there are only 3 episodes left. Cannot believe that they killed Bonnie after her gumption! What I can believe is how amazing Jericho has been and how hot Skeet is looking.

Wow. They better not cancel this for next season.

I think these have been some of the best episodes yet and I have loved this show from the beginning. I'll be very disappointed if it gets cancelled after only 3 more episodes.

And Skeet.
