I lost all respect I had for him when he kept calling her by his second wife's name, Elaine, during the interview. I know if I were in that situation, he would never forget my name again....nothing a little crack upside the head with a frying pan to help him remember

I didn't see that episode. I have not seen too many of them. But I loved the ep where he got her a stripper pole for her birthday. I think that Yonk is adorable. He is totally lost in the days of cavemen. Which makes for a great character, but not so great a husband.

Thoughts...

Nicole/Yonk/Duncan story: Nicole will have to stay with Yonk, if only because she promised him ttat she would. But duncan isn't going to completely leave, at least, not yet. He still loves her, and he's going to want to make sure that she really does love him.

Richie/Lina storyline: it's too perfect. It will last for a while, then there's going to be trouble. Life doesn't work like that, and, since this show is semi-realistic, something terrible is going to happen.

The Kat/Ethan/Kyle storyline: Kyle will disappear, not totally, but since Aaron is back, his presence will be reduced. Kat will decide that maybe she needs to give guys a chance again, and will realize that maybe there's something in Ethan that she's hiding from herself, Ethan will tell her how he feels, but she will find it to be too romantic, and will ignore him. They will end up together eventually though.

That is...assuming that there's a second season. There will probably be one now that they've won a People's Choice Award, but you just never know with networks...

I normally love this show but the Kat/Duncan pairing came off as incredibly forced and ridiculous to me.

Isn't this by the people who brought us Friends? They are using the same old formula of dragging it out. But these two are no Ross and Rachel. They shamelessly dove right into the drama before they gave us a chance to care about the characters. So who cares?

No, the regular season finale was sometime in March. You must have missed it.
Richie proposed to Lena
Duncan and Kat slept together (they both told each other it 'means nothing')
Kyle's partner came back from where ever he was
Ethan finally admitted to himself that he had feelings for Kat and he was sitting on her doorstep waiting for her to come home while she was doing the horizontal mambo with Duncan.
Yonk had a heart attack and begged Nicole to never leave him. She tells Duncan that she can't leave Yonk (as they had planned) and this is what perpetuated the pity party at Duncan's place that included most of a bottle of vodka a sad movie and the tryst with Kat.

I think it is still out on the limb whether any more shows will be ordered but right now it does not look good. To bad, because I thought the ensemble clicked and if given another season, and better time slot - would take off.
