Wow! What a finale!

It looks like Sarah was right about Simon after all. It appears he probably bilked Nora out of $100,000. He took her check for $100,000 (for his foundation, which is supposedly an investment that will return interest) and then blew her off - went out of town instead of escorting Nora to Justin's wedding. I can only hope she puts a stop payment on that check immediately!

It looked like we would finally get a happy ending on this show with Justin & Rebecca's wedding. The wedding took place locally on Malibu beach rather than in Hawaii due to storms & flight cancellations. Lots of drama up until the end about whether the wedding would actually take place. Justin had cold feet... he went to an AA meeting where he talked about how much pressure he was under and how he wasn't ready to be a husband or a father. Unbeknownst to Justin until after his confession: Rebecca's father David was at the meeting in the back row. Then Justin failed to show up for the rehearsal dinner - partly cold feet and partly because he was helping a boy who was hurt in an accident.

Drama with Kevin and Tommy. Tommy kidnapped his daughter Elizabeth to bring her from Seattle to the wedding. Well, he wasn't allowed to take her across state lines and he did anyway. Kevin catches wind of the fact that Tommy didn't have Julia's permission for the visit and calls her to tell her. She hops a flight immediately, but winds up allowing Elizabeth to attend at the end. But Tommy's still angry with Kevin.

At the end, we don't even know if Justin and Rebecca get married, because Kitty passes out while reading a poem on the beach before the vows take place.

Obviously Kitty won't die on the beach, being a Walker, but I couldn't help but think that Julia is going to regret letting their daughter be there to witness that!
Yes, once Simon mentioned his fundraising difficulties my heart sank. OK, it WAS too good to be true that a hunky doctor was interested in a woman old enough to be his mom when that mom is in her 60's or so. He really played her well.... I wonder what he would have done if she'd really submitted his prospectus to her accountant. Or is there going to be another twist and he really IS a good guy?
Just a question, where'd she get $100K? I thought they were practically broke a little while ago....did she get bought out of the Ojai stuff?
I loved the bridesmaids' outfits.
I thought Luc was signed up for more episodes? When does he come back?

I may be mistaken but I think that the money Nora gave to the "dr" was more than what he had told her he needed. The way he looked when he opened the envelope leads me to believe that it was alot more. I was shaking my head no and thinking bad, bad idea when he first started talking about the money issue. So now she and Rebecca's mom (can't believe I can't remember her name) will have one more thing in common, all of their savings put into "bad investments". Perhaps they can room together at some point.

Right ... in all fairness, we don't know that he's a bad guy who was only trying to bilk Nora out of her money. He did say he had to go to Portland even before she offered him the money. Could be that rearranging the meetings (or whatever he was going there for) just didn't work out and he had to go after all. I'm just going to believe that for now (even though I thought she was a bit hasty handing over a wad of money basically on blind trust and no solid investment information).

Funny thing about the wedding--I turned the sound off when it started because I had a "feeling" that something bad was going to happen and I didn't want to hear it.

Kitty's condition is so very serious and life threatening that I"m wondering whether Calista Flockhart is planning on leaving the show.

I hadn't thought of that.

That would really be a show-changer.

But I can see the dramatic possibilities--who would help raise the son? What would Rob Lowe's character do?

How would her mom accept that?

If Kitty died and her boyfriend bilked her...and Tommy is gone and Justin is flunking out of school and fathering a baby and and and... wow, poor Nora... but I'm sure she'd rally to wanting to take care of the baby, or both babies... Really Kevin and Scotty are her only stable "kids".... I guess you can say Sarah is coping well with Luc leaving...she certainly doesn't seem totally depressed... What a soap!
Calista wanting to leave the show is the only way Kitty dies.

I would think that would be a horrid move for Calista. Plus it wouldn't be a great move for the show... since this is all about a family and the family dynamics. With them getting rid of Tommy they'd be shrinking the fam to two boys and a girl. Not much conflict there.
