I just got around to viewing a Justice tape and my vcr cut it off just before the end...arggh! Did anyone see this one and can you tell me what happened? The young guy took a case to avoid going to the Christmas party...supposedly a student had killed a cabbie, but there was no evidence until an FBI snitch under govt protection came in at the last second and said he'd witnessed the crime. They got the DA to drop the case because the young lawyer (Jack from Dawson's Creek) was going to expose him to the jury as a criminal, which would have endangered his life and the FBI cases he'd testify in. Anyway, everyone is celebrating at the bar afterwards and the DA walked in wiht grim expression on her face; I got the impression the snitch had been shot by the people he was snitching on, but that could be wrong..she hadn't said anything...maybe she was just going to bawl out the young lawyer. So I never saw the ending thing about whether the student really did or didn't kill the cabbie...does anyone know? There was also a side case about someone abandoning a baby that was being neglected by its drug abusing mom at the Chrstmas party, but I think that was fully resolved. Any help appreciated! Thanks!

She basically tore him a new one about "letting a guilty man go free", which we saw he was innocent when they showed the murder. Saying how she hopes he was happy and how she'd get him back for this and it was just the beginning. (Too bad it was really the end) What happened was they were fighting, the gun was pulled, but the kid ran out and the gun slipped and hit the arm rest going off killing the guy. The informant did see that correctly, but missed the kid sliding out the side door as the gun went off.

The informant was scared, and ducked around the corner of the building for a second, and didn't actually see the shooting. He lied about it. He did see the two arguing just beforehand, but that was it. It was like the other poster said. The kid got out of the car, and the cabbie dropped the gun, and it went off when it fell, and he was hit.

Thank you so much, Radar and Canadian Angel! That makes sense... couldn't really see why the snitch would go to the trouble of totally making something up.
